I highly recommend both these gloves and an account with KSK Platinum. Exchange of goods is quick and free, shipping is free for any amount, and thanks to KSK points, you can get up to a 30% discount. Thanks to these advantages, my whole family was equipped with Mechanix Wear ColdWork Winter Utility gloves – Black (a total of four pairs). Earlier, I described the advantages of these gloves in detail, but one review suggests that they are not strictly tactical, despite the name. When buying the first pair based on the description and photos, I immediately saw that they are not suitable for carrying wood. I mainly use them for mountain hiking, and my family and I are very satisfied.
Mechanix Wear ColdWork Winter Utility Tactical Gloves - Black
Tactical gloves with PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation, designed for use in cold temperatures. They effectively protect against the cold while protecting hands from abrasions and cuts. With a precise fit, they provide full grip control.
Damage-resistant material, softshell fabric, touchscreen support
The model is made of lightweight but durable fleece. The upper part of the palm and fingers is covered with softshell material, which protects against wind and moisture. The grip side of the gloves is made of a soak-resistant material that allows touchscreen operation.
The materials used are characterized by durability, windproofing and quick drying, making the gloves a great choice for many different applications.
PrimaLoft Gold synthetic fill for thermal comfort
The lightweight PrimaLoft Gold synthetic fill effectively warms the hands, providing optimal thermal comfort even in harsh weather conditions. Thanks to its excellent breathability, it prevents excessive overheating of the hands.
The hydrophobic properties of the insulation guarantee thermal insulation even when wet, making the gloves ideal for unpredictable weather. Insulation of 40 g/m2 is used on the back of the hand, and 60 g/m2 on the grip side.
Elastic cuffs and snap buckle
The gloves are equipped with elastic cuffs, providing a perfect fit on the wrists. In addition, a snap buckle allows the gloves to be joined together, making them easy to transport and store.
EN388-3222X and EN511 standards
The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388-3222X for resistance against mechanical impacts, which indicates:
- 3: abrasion resistance (rated 0-4)
- 2: cut resistance (rated 0-5)
- 2: tear resistance (rated 0-4)
- 2: puncture resistance (rated 0-4)
Cold protection aligns with EN511 at level 21X.

I definitely recommend this model. After positive winter experiences, I bought a second pair for my wife. I love the cold, so for me these gloves are very warm. During a 10-kilometer walk at -8°C, wearing light hiking clothes, I didn't sweat, I felt a bit chilly, but my hands stayed very warm. The PrimaLoft insulation material is the best choice on the market, so the effect has to be good. However, it's worth remembering that the feeling of warmth in products like sleeping bags, jackets, gloves, or socks is very subjective and depends on the user.

These gloves are not designed for very low temperatures, but around zero they provide comfort. They are made of pleasant materials, fit well on the hands, and should last a long time. They do their job well.

These are good gloves. Since they do not have additional protective layers, they fit perfectly with everyday, civilian clothing. They provide good insulation, as long as there is no strong wind – it's a pity they don't have a membrane to protect in such circumstances.

I bought the gloves in December 2024 and to this day I have not had a problem with cold hands. These are good gloves for working outdoors, although I haven't had a chance yet to test them in severe frost. In temperatures around 3-4 degrees above zero, they work great. I recommend them.

I wholeheartedly recommend these gloves. When choosing, I didn't follow the description, and the reviews of similar models weren't reliable. Why? The PrimaLoft insulation used is the best material available on the market (its quality matches original Polartec or Gore-Tex). Similarly made gloves from renowned alpine or ski-touring brands would cost at least 200 PLN, so this Mechanix model is almost as if it were free.
