Lightweight and functional softshell jacket, sewn from modern StormStretch material, which is a blend of 98% nylon and 2% elastane. The material used is characterized by high resistance to abrasion and tearing while being flexible, which provides comfort and freedom of movement. The material used is lightweight and provides good protection against moderate rain, snow and wind, so it will work well as an outer layer. On the outside, the jacket is coated with DuPont Teflon for protection against dirt and water.

The jacket features seven pockets:
- two chest ones fastened with zippers,
- two on the sleeves at shoulder height,
- one on the left sleeve above the wrist,
- one inner pocket with Velcro closure,
- one so-called poaching pocket - at the back under the lower back, with two independent accesses - from the right and left side.

The shoulder pockets have soft Velcro enabling attachment of a properly prepared patch.

The hood tucked into the collar is spacious enough to be worn over a head already protected by a cap. It has a soft visor that protects the wearer from water running down directly onto the face. The hood is sewn to the collar in such a way that when removed it does not expose the neck. This way, the wearer is not exposed to wind in particularly sensitive areas. At the bottom of the jacket, there is a welt which increases the tightness of the jacket.

The sleeves from the wrist to the elbow have been reinforced with durable material, while the cuffs with a velcro-fastened flap allow size adjustment depending on the thickness of the wrist, and whether the wearer also wears gloves or a watch, for example. Ventilation zippers have been placed under the jacket's arms.

Great, lightweight jacket. The lack of lining means it’s not too warm, but it protects well against wind and light rain. A lot of pockets, sturdy workmanship. The only issue – the front pockets are set high, which is a plus when wearing a rucksack with a hip belt, but you have to get used to it for everyday use. I recommend it!

Very good jacket. Fits great, provides excellent protection from wind and rain. The material seems solid. Additional ventilation openings under the arms and plenty of pockets.

Nice, light, and very thin jacket. This is not the typical softshell I used before. Ideal for spring, cooler summer nights and autumn. The cut, pockets and quality are the Helikon standard. If you like this style, you will be satisfied.

I regret that Helikon stopped producing this model – although there is the MK2 version, in my opinion, it’s not the same. This jacket looks much better than its successor. I wanted the Shadow grey version, but the green one also looks great. I am 175 cm tall, weigh 75 kg and wear size M – it is slightly loose, so I can easily fit a fleece or sweatshirt under it, and yet it is not tight. I really like the tactical look. The jacket protects well against wind, and to better secure it from rain, I plan to use a waterproofing spray. It isn’t overly light – the hood has a bit of weight. My only concern is with the sleeves, which could be just a bit longer – though they fit well and shorten when you stretch your arms.

The jacket stands out for its good quality and functionality. It's lightweight and durable. Unfortunately, it doesn't protect effectively against rain – even a few drops get through the material, causing discomfort on the shoulders. Bear this in mind if you're looking for a jacket specifically for rain.

I've had my jacket since 2015 and it's still performing great, especially during mountain trips in the autumn and early spring, but not only then. The only signs of wear are on the cuffs, where the velcro has lost its colour. It's perfect for light rain, and if you treat it with the right impregnation, it will withstand even heavier rain.

I don't fully understand the use of this softshell – it doesn't keep you warm, doesn't protect for long against rain, and the wind resistance is average. Yes, it breathes, but do these advantages matter with these shortcomings?

It is a very good jacket, offers excellent wind protection, and is easy to pack. Very comfortable – it doesn’t restrict movement. Helikon products are of great quality, I buy them without hesitation and I'm always satisfied.

This is already my second Trooper (the first was grey, used often). Well made. Pocket placement is a personal issue – with a larger chest, the pockets are a bit tight when loaded. The size matches the chart, but the cut is a little wider than the dimensions suggest.

The Helikon Trooper Softshell Jacket is a very light jacket for the warmer months. The cut is similar to the Blizzard model, but it's slightly shorter. It dries quickly, shields well from the wind and provides partial protection against water.

Opinion after a year of use: Lightweight, comfortable jacket, often worn during transitional seasons and in winter with light frost, both in the city and outdoors. Provides excellent wind protection, but is average when it comes to waterproofness. It does well in a light drizzle but soaks through in heavier rain. The positives are solid workmanship, no defects, a spacious hood, and lots of pockets. Negatives – no mesh in the underarm ventilation and a rather high price.

A light, breathable jacket. The colour looks even better in person than in the photo. It doesn't have a membrane, so it's better for dry days, but the material breathes, and the many pockets make it easier to carry small items. I recommend both the jacket and the shop.

Very good softshell, provides good water protection, but after washing, it’s essential to use an impregnator. I definitely recommend it.

Excellent softshell without a membrane, with a tailored fit. Highly recommended!

This is one of my many Helikon jackets, as always made very thoroughly. I most often take it for trips in spring and autumn.
