Fjord Nansen Trekker NG Single Air Mattress

Ultralight single-person mattress in blue colour, an inflatable trekking model, suitable for use in the summer season. It will work well during camping, bivouacking, bushcraft trips and fishing. Made from durable 20D nylon, it combines low weight and high user comfort.

The Trekker NG model features a thermal insulation coefficient of R-Value 1.6, determined according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard. This parameter indicates the degree of insulation from the ground - the higher the value, the more effective the limitation of heat loss.

Interpretation of R-Value values used in the outdoor industry:

• 1.0-2.0 - use in summer conditions (night temperatures above approx. 10 deg. C)
• 2.1-3.5 - use in spring-summer-autumn (approx. 0-10 deg. C)
• 3.6-5.0 - cold conditions, around 0 deg. C and negative temperatures down to approx. -5 /-10 deg. C
• 5.1-7.0 - winter use, temperatures below 0 deg. C
• above 7.0 - winter conditions with increased insulation requirements.

Actual thermal comfort depends on the sleeping system (sleeping bag, clothing), type of ground, and the individual user's resistance to cold.

Mattress made of lightweight and durable 20D nylon, resistant to abrasions and damage in the field. Innovative chamber layout limits slipping during sleep and guarantees even body support.

The mattress incorporates star-shaped perforations, reducing the mattress weight and improving its ergonomics in the field. Special cut-out layout makes the mat work point-wise, better adapting to the silhouette and ground irregularities. In rocky or forested terrain, it facilitates even distribution of body weight, increasing sleep comfort, while the flexible design allows for bending in different directions, filling recesses, and stabilising the user's position, even in a hammock.

The mattress can be quickly inflated thanks to a valve with an anti-reverse air system. Deflating occurs by pressing the tab, allowing for efficient folding of the mat without using much force.

The set with the mattress includes a transport cover. Folded to dimensions of 14 x 10 cm, it takes up little space in the backpack. The low weight of 400 g simplifies transport during hiking.
