Temperatures and usage conditions
Temperature range for the Nordkapp sleeping bag according to EN 23537 standard:
- T-comfort: 8 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
- T-limit: 4 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -1 deg. C - the least recommended usage temperature, allowing for survival.
Nylon 20D with Water Repellent coating
Lightweight nylon 20D is coated with a hydrophobic WR layer (Water Repellent) both inside and out. Waterproofing the material reduces moisture penetration. Inside you will find a small pocket for small accessories and loops to attach an additional insulating insert.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Filling with Polish duck down in a 91/9 ratio provides thermal insulation and air circulation. Down with a loft of 700 cuin is characterised by its ability to compress highly, allowing the sleeping bag to be folded into a compact size. The H-shaped chamber construction eliminates the effect of down shifting. The footbox in the form of a drawstring is enriched with an additional layer of down, which increases warmth, providing better thermal comfort for the feet.
Zip on the left side, Anti-Bite system
Two-way zipper on the left side, allows full unzipping from the top and bottom, facilitating quick entrance and exit. The fluorescent puller allows for easy use of the zipper even in the dark. The Anti-Bite system prevents the material from getting caught in the zipper, and the slider is secured by a thermal strip from the inside.
Integrated hood protecting against cold, DUO drawstring
Built-in 3D hood enhances thermal protection, covering the head and retaining heat at lower temperatures. The shape additionally protects against wind and moisture. The DUO drawstring, combining rubber and tape, facilitates adjustment: the rubber around the neck allows for inserting a hand without needing adjustment, and the tape at the back allows for quick loosening as needed, particularly useful during night activities.
