Temperatures and usage conditions
Usage temperatures for the Fredvang sleeping bag are defined according to the EN 13537 standard:
- T-comfort: 17 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
- T-limit: 12 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: 1 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which survival in the sleeping bag is possible. This is not a recommended value for regular use.
Polyester reinforced with Rip-Stop, lining made of 290T Pongee polyester
The outer shell made of Rip-Stop polyester effectively protects against abrasions and mechanical damage, and also reduces the risk of further tearing of the material. The inner lining of 290T Pongee polyester provides pleasant contact with the skin and good ventilation. This combination makes the sleeping bag perfect for both demanding expeditions and calm camping. Inside there is a small pocket for handy accessories and loops for attaching an additional insulating liner.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling
Synthetic Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling made of spiral, siliconised polyester fibres is responsible for retaining heat. Quilting the outer fabrics stabilises the filling, ensuring its even distribution across the entire sleeping bag. The insulation retains its thermal properties even after wetting, washing, and intensive use. The filling is suitable for people allergic to feathers, as it does not cause allergic reactions.
Left-side zip, Anti-Bite system
The model features a two-way zip positioned on the left side, allowing it to be fully opened from both the top and the bottom and facilitating quick entry and exit. Thanks to the Anti-Bite system, the material does not get caught in the zip. The zip is secured from the inside by a thermal strip. It can be attached to a second sleeping bag from the same series.
Integrated hood for cold protection, DUO drawstring
The built-in hood with a 3D construction increases thermal protection, covering the head and preventing heat loss in low temperatures. Its shape also provides extra protection against wind and moisture. The DUO drawstring is a solution combining elastic and tape. The elastic around the neck allows the hand to be extended without adjustment, while the tape at the back allows for quick loosening in a chosen spot, which is particularly useful during nighttime activities.
Convenient transport and storage
The model is convenient for transport and storage. When folded, the sleeping bag measures 27 x 14 cm, and its weight is only 600 g, making it easy to carry without excessively burdening luggage.

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.
Anti-Bite is a system that prevents material from getting jammed in the zipper, used in outdoor clothing and equipment. It prevents the fabric from blocking the zipper, which increases the durability of the product and improves the comfort of use, especially in outdoor conditions.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber is a synthetic insulation material used in sleeping bags. It consists of spirally twisted, siliconized polyester fibers of various diameters, which form a system of microchannels filled with air. Thanks to this structure, the filling is warm, resilient and easy to compress. It retains its insulating properties even in a humid environment – it does not absorb moisture, and at the same time allows the removal of water vapor produced by the body. This material provides thermal comfort at low temperatures and is also anti-allergenic.
DUO drawstring in Fjord Nansen sleeping bags is a two-zone adjustment system, which allows you to adjust the hood independently with an elastic band in front and a tape with a lock in the back.
