MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is an innovative camouflage developed in 2002 by Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. Its aim was to create a camouflage effective in various terrains and changing environmental conditions.
The MultiCam camouflage includes seven colours that form smooth transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. This allows it to blend seamlessly into the background, adapting to greenery in forested areas and browns and beiges on deserts - particularly effective in autumn and among dry vegetation in Central and Eastern Europe. This invention gained worldwide popularity, being used by many military forces and special units. Since 2010, it has been the official camouflage pattern of the US Army for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Available for civilian users as well, it has attracted the interest of military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
