MultiCam camouflage
MultiCam is an innovative camouflage developed in 2002 by Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior program. Its purpose was to create camouflage effective in a variety of terrains and changing environments.
The MultiCam camouflage comprises seven colors that create smooth transitions between shades of green, brown, and beige. As a result, it blends seamlessly into backgrounds, adapting to greenery in forested areas and the browns and beiges of deserts—particularly effective in Central and Eastern Europe in the fall and among dry vegetation. This invention has gained worldwide popularity, used by numerous military forces and special units. Since 2010, it has been the official camouflage pattern for the U.S. Army for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Also available for civilian users, it is popular among military and airsoft enthusiasts.
