The hard parts of the black leather dig into the ankles where the canvas material begins. The leather is very, very stiff, it's hard to say how long it would take to break them in. They don't let air through. On the plus side: solid sole, the boot is fairly lightweight, stabilises the ankle well, and insulates the foot from the ground – stones are no problem, it’s more of a military boot than a light sports model.

Durable army boots straight from Bundeswehr warehouses – they are comfortable, strong, and functional! The Cordura used, quick lacing, and anti-slip sole provide comfort in any situation. Perfect for spring and summer.

Tropical Baltes boots are a classic, crafted with German precision. They are perfect from spring through autumn. Excellent stitching, high-quality leather and materials. I definitely recommend them!

Average, they are more like lightweight wellingtons for gardening. They won’t work for longer walks or trips. Also, they're not suitable for summer or the tropics – rather for warmer spring or autumn. Personally, I'm not satisfied with them, they're more like toys than solid work boots.

Delivery was fast, but the shoes are as stiff as ski boots – unfortunately I have to return them. I served in the army and had to break in new footwear, but they were never as hard as these. In my opinion, they're more suitable for combat conditions than for survival or longer hikes.
