I've had this watch for over three years now and it hardly needs any attention. In winter, when there's less light and my sleeves are often covered, you sometimes need to recharge it – a regular lamp is enough, preferably an LED. It's an excellent watch. I rarely take it off, it practically always accompanies me, I treat it as a permanent part of my EDC.
A modern watch from the Master of G series designed for outdoor use and suitable for extreme conditions. The scratch-resistant mineral glass dial and plastic envelope, combined with G-Shock technology, give the watch high shock and impact resistance, and the 20-bar water resistance allows the watch to be submerged to a depth of 200 meters.
A Miyota quartz movement powered by solar energy using Tough Solar technology is responsible for precise timekeeping. An easy-to-read digital display makes the watch easy to read, and a backlight function makes it easy to operate in low light or no light at all.
The Rangeman GW-9400-1ER is equipped with a number of sensors:
- digital compass - a direction sensor that detects magnetic north,
- barometric altimeter - detects changes in atmospheric pressure, based on which it calculates altitudes up to 10000 meters,
- barometer - measures air pressure in the range of 260 - 1100 hPa, and the graph of pressure changes shown on the display allows early detection of weather changes,
- thermometer - measures ambient temperature in the range of -10 to +60 degrees C and indicates the result on the display.
In addition, the watch is equipped with the WaveCeptor function - it allows the watch to receive a radio signal, based on which the watch will automatically update the time shown on the display.
Comfortable wearing of the watch on the wrist is provided by a strap made of elastic material, fastened with a metal buckle. The material used is resistant to the harmful effects of moisture and sweat, making it ideal for various activities.

- stopwatch,
- timer,
- 5 alarms with snooze function,

Casio is a Japanese brand founded in 1946, known worldwide as one of the leaders in consumer electronics. A breakthrough moment in the company's history was the launch of the G-Shock series in the 1980s, which gained cult status thanks to its exceptional resistance to shocks, water, and extreme environmental conditions. Casio is constantly developing its technologies, introducing features such as Tough Solar - a solar power system - and Wave Ceptor - time synchronization using radio waves, which ensures precision and reliability. The brand's watches are popular among both professionals and users looking for durable solutions for everyday use and outdoor activities. The first G-Shock model – DW-5000C, designed by engineer Kikuo Ibe in 1983, passed a drop test from the tenth floor and continued to function flawlessly, which became the foundation of the series' legend. Today, Casio is synonymous with innovation, reliability, and timeless design.

I've been using the watch for a few days now and have had the chance to test its functions and features. Despite the numerous options, it's simple and easy to use. Personally, I probably won't use the altimeter often, but the barometer and compass are very handy additions. The watch fits my wrist perfectly, is lightweight and doesn't seem too large. The shop service, as always, was top-notch. The price was attractive and shipping was express. I consider the purchase very successful and I am satisfied. I wear the watch every day, it's shock-resistant and you don't have to take it off for various activities. I recommend it.

The watch requires virtually no maintenance, and with typical use it's virtually indestructible.
