The lanyard was purchased with the intention of attaching it to a carabiner and trousers. I use it at work – one lanyard is for the handcuff key, and the other for essential keys. I attach them to my belt and put them in my pocket, so they don't move around unnecessarily. If needed, I detach the appropriate lanyard to access the keys. A very functional gadget, I recommend it.
