Boxmet Medical Chitogauze XR PRO Hemostatic dressing

A compressed gauze soaked in chitosan with haemostatic properties that quickly stop life-threatening haemorrhages. Designed for use in first aid in combat, disaster and rescue operations. Prior training is required for safe and effective use.

The dressing has a bactericidal effect, does not cause exothermic reactions or burns, and its structure does not stick to the wound surface. The sterile packaging contains one 7.5 cm x 3.7 m gauze strip. The chitosan it contains initiates rapid blood clotting at the application site - the clot forms within 2-3 minutes and remains stable even after flushing the wound with saline. Designed for effective staunching of heavy bleeding. In addition, the gauze has been equipped with an X-ray marker, which allows it to be localised on X-ray images.
