Bates Sport 2 Tactical Shoes Desert

I bought online, the delivery could have been faster. I had four models to choose from, each in sizes 41 and 42 EU (my foot: length 27.3 cm, standard width). My subjective ranking from least to most successful model: 1. Texar Desert Ghost - Khaki: I liked these the least (unusual colour), sizing did not match the chart – oversized, both sizes too small. Quality is fine, ordinary insole, average comfort, hard sole – similar to Kupczak MON. 2. Texar Stinger - Khaki: more attractive than those mentioned above and the most elegant in the comparison. Surprisingly, the sizing matches this time. Size 41 is a little too small but will probably fit my foot over time with thin socks. Size 42 is too big even with slightly thicker socks. The shoes are solid, average comfort, hard sole like the Desert. 3. KOMBAT uk PRO 50/50 (bought from a competitor): in my opinion the most attractive of those compared. The sizing is correct: 41 perfect for thin socks, 42 – a bit looser with thicker socks. Good build quality, more comfort than previous ones, the sole is less stiff, although still not as flexible as the winning model. Good reinforcement at the heel. 4. Bates Tactical Sport 2 Desert: winner of the comparison, though not the most attractive. The sizing runs small – I chose 41, which gives a bit of room with thin socks, and with average or all-year socks it is ideal. High build quality, very comfortable on the foot, much more comfortable than the other models. They immediately fit well to the foot and ankle, you almost don't feel like you're wearing them, good insole, exceptionally flexible sole, not as resistant when walking as the other models. If anyone is wondering whether to pay around 150 PLN more for Bates Tactical Sport 2 – it's definitely worth it!

First impressions: the shoes are light, with a comfortable, noticeably soft sole. Excellent fit around the heel and higher up. The zip is very functional. The shoes are solidly made and look aesthetically pleasing. They’re great for the city – they do well on various surfaces. The size matches the description.

The footwear is extremely comfortable and carefully made, and the material is pleasant to the touch. A small note from me – if you wear size 42, I recommend choosing a smaller size, that is, 41 or even 40. Overall, these are very comfortable and sturdy shoes – I definitely recommend them!

The shoes are very comfortable, although they were expensive – but it is worth investing in foot comfort.
