The cold contents of the can didn't appeal to me, but after heating it was excellent. I added a very spicy sauce starting with the letter T and received a brilliant goulash, perfect for Hungarian-style potato cakes. That's why I ordered another can and this Saturday I intend to enjoy this dish again.

This is a typical military meat preserve known as "Małpa". The beef is juicy and well-seasoned – it tastes great both cold and hot. During my military service I used to eat it with lard, but the taste has remained the same over the years. The can doesn't have an opener, so opening it is harder, but thanks to that you can store it much longer than the best-before date would suggest. Recommended.

The can I received has a self-opener, although it wasn't shown in the photo – for me that's a plus, though traditionally they should be opened with a bayonet or a mess kit opener. As for the meat – I feel that the 'monkey' I ate 30 years ago in the army was made of beef. I recommend it!
