The buckle is made of durable plastic, thick enough that it shouldn't break even with intensive use at the bottom of a backpack. Previously, I used self-printed buckles, but PLA material cannot match the one used here in terms of weather resistance and mechanical strength. The buckle allows you to thread two straps through, although it might be more difficult if the ends are folded.
