The bag is relatively thin and effectively protects the contents in the backpack, but you need to be careful not to damage it. I do not recommend using it outside of a backpack – one has already got damaged for me.

It works well, completely waterproof. The zip is well sealed and the material is solid enough that you don't have to worry about damage. It's worth having one in your backpack just in case, as you never know when you'll need it.
