It is very efficient and easy to use. Sharpening is smooth, precise and does not require angle adjustment. Knives regain excellent sharpness even after heavy use.
Spyderco Triangle sharpening system - is one of the most popular, intuitive to use professional sharpening sets. You can choose from three sharpening angles, two gradations of sharpening rods.
The Spyderco Triangle set includes:
- 4 sharpening rods (2 gradations)
- stable base with:
- guides determining the angle of the rods (optionally 20, 15 or 12 degrees)
- brass guards to protect the hand from injury
- instructional video on DVD
How to use:
To sharpen a knife, run the edge of the knife along the sharpening rod in a downward motion (perpendicular to the ground), just as you would when slicing. Two rods inclined at the desired angle allow us to quickly and conveniently sharpen (alternately) both sides of the knife's cutting edge.
On the edges of the rods we can sharpen concave and serrated blades, it is also possible to lay both rods flat and sharpen as on a classic stone whetstone.
The system is intuitive to use and even people inexperienced in sharpening will easily sharpen a knife to the level of a razor.
Before using it, we recommend watching the instructional video!

Good and universal sharpener. It allows you to quickly and easily sharpen various types of knives. When folded it’s fairly compact, so you can take it outdoors. Recommended.
-
Very good sharpener, it copes with many knives, it is simple to use and once folded it takes up very little space in a backpack, which allows you to take it on a trip. It is expensive, but it is worth the price.
-
Great sharpener. You can sharpen everything – from regular knives, through serrated models, to scissors, clippers, and fishing hooks. The set includes instructions on video and in a brochure, showing how to sharpen each tool. I recommend it.
-
The price is high, but it is worth buying. You can easily sharpen even the best steel knives.
-
I recommend it to anyone who uses knives a bit more advanced.
-
A really good sharpener. I've tested it on all my knives – from a small EDC (154CM), through a bushcraft one (1095 CRO-VAN), to a big KA-BAR (1095 CRO-VAN). I haven't tried it on super steels, since I don't have any. I recommend it to people who can’t sharpen well on a stone or don’t have the budget for a good set of stones. The extensive instructions – both paper and DVD – are helpful, and you can easily find lots of instructional videos online.
-
Worth buying, sharpening on rods is much more predictable than on plates.
-
Top-quality. Expensive, but I definitely recommend it.
-
Great set. The price is quite high, so it's worth waiting for promotions.
-
I managed to sharpen several blunt knives very quickly and easily. I recommend it!
-
Good sharpener.
-
A classic in its own right. I use this 'spider' sharpener on all my knives, both mine and my parents'. Thanks to the proper angles, sharpening is very easy. If diamond rods are added, the tool allows you to quickly sharpen almost any knife to a razor's edge. Unfortunately, the price rises every year.
-
I've been using this set for years and it handles sharpening everything I have on hand without any issues. Over time, it's worth investing in diamond rods.

I've been using this equipment for 4 years already, haven't changed the stones. I sharpen my kitchen knives, my parents', and my in-laws' as well. It also handles penknives, EDC, and scissors. It's a great sharpener, although you do need to practice to maintain the right sharpening angle. I used the DMT system with a guide before, but sold it after three tries – the Spyderco triangulation works better for me. I bought my unit 4 years ago for 240 PLN, today it costs 400 PLN. Shockingly expensive! Just the diamond rods – 300 PLN. The price is definitely exaggerated, I wouldn’t buy it today for such an amount.
