I think enough time has passed to understand the advantages and disadvantages of these shoes and to share my impressions. Firstly, compared to Salomon models of the same size (mine): these, the Shelter and the X Ultra 360 models, the Shelter is one centimetre shorter in length, the others are half a centimetre. At the same time, a finger fits in the heel of these boots. Conclusion: If you don't plan on wearing a thick sock, take a smaller size. In the first few days of wearing, there was some stiffness and rigidity, especially in the ankle area, but then they "broke in" and were hardly felt. Very comfortable indoors. In rain and mud outside – excellent. The waterproofing works flawlessly. These are not delicate trainers, but rugged, work boots that are extremely reliable. The only downside is that I would like the quick lacing to be stronger, but so far it is holding up. And once again – don’t be disappointed in the first week, wearing them in is a must. Overall: boots are very reliable, durable and built for real work. If you need something soft and light, this is not the option for you. But if you want them to survive anything and last a long time, then these are the ones.
Salomon XA Forces MID GTX EN Boots - Coyote
Beige tactical boots with a lightweight yet durable construction, equipped with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane. The 3D Advanced Chassis construction stabilises the foot on uneven ground, reducing fatigue during long walks. Double and triple stitching increase the durability of the footwear.
durable Cordura, SensiFit stabiliser, Gore-Tex membrane
The upper layer of the boot consists of anti-reflective Cordura and a SensiFit stabiliser that supports and protects the foot. The Gore-Tex membrane ensures waterproofness and high air permeability, keeping the foot dry even in difficult weather conditions.
Contagrip sole, Protective Rubber Toe Cap

EVA foam, Ortholite insole
The EVA foam midsole absorbs shock, reducing stress on the foot during dynamic movement. The lightweight, breathable Ortholite insole with antibacterial properties improves cushioning and supports the natural position of the foot.

Salomon XA Forces MID GTX EN are shoes distinguished by comfort, lightness, and durability. Thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane, they are waterproof and provide good ventilation, making them perfect for demanding conditions. I definitely recommend them!

These shoes are extremely comfortable and light, ideal for tactical use and trekking. The membrane works very well; after waterproofing, they don't absorb water at all. They don't cause chafing or pressure, and the lacing system is excellent. The downside is that they get dirty easily, although they're just as easy to clean.

Very light for tactical footwear, I have already run about 100 km and not a single blister. It can get a bit warm in hot weather due to the GTX membrane, but that's the trade-off – water does not get inside. They cushion the foot well and grip the ground solidly.

I chose these shoes due to issues with higher models and it was a very good choice. They are exceptionally comfortable and do not cause any discomfort even when worn for long periods. The price may seem high, but in my opinion it matches the quality – it's hard to find others of this height that meet the requirements of the Ministry of Defence. A big advantage is the lacing system – it is very practical and comfortable. The insoles are soft and pleasant to the touch, which adds even more to the comfort. I am still testing the outer material during everyday use, so I cannot assess its durability yet. I am also glad that I could buy size 39, which is more difficult to find. For now, I have no complaints and highly recommend this model. We will see how they perform after the warranty period.

I tried them on the trail to Bukowe Berdo (12.10.2024), the day after heavy rainfall in the area. They performed perfectly. They are tough, solid, and handle muddy ascents exceptionally well. They are also comfortable. These are by far the best tactical boots I’ve had in many years of hiking on various terrains. They’re outstanding on rocky surfaces. The sole is strong enough that you can’t feel sharp stones underfoot. I wholeheartedly recommend them. Soon I’ll test them in even more demanding conditions.
