Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I confirm the difficulties with putting these shoes on – it is really hard. The worst problem is the poorly sewn and unattached Gore membrane, which bunches up in key spots. Already when I put them on for the first time, I could tell that these areas would cause blisters straight away. I bought them with long treks in mind, but the quality of workmanship turned out to be very poor. I wanted to try Salomon as an alternative to Lowa, and that was a mistake. Additionally, the price is completely inadequate. I was hoping for comfort and high quality, but apparently manufacturers in Cambodia clearly cannot make good footwear. I have to return them and keep looking for the right shoes.

I own both these and the lower cut version of these boots and after owning them for around 4 months now and I tend to use them 2-3 times per week some times more if we have a lot of rain and I have not experienced any build quality issues with these boots. They are a pain to put on and take off but for a boot that offers good ankle support I think this will always be the case. I have gone on multiple back packing trips with my longest being a 32 mile walk over 2.5 days and I was carrying a 27kg pack. At the end of the trip my feet were absolutely fine. I got .5 size bigger than I normally would as I expect I won't need these so much in the summer so I got them for the winter months only really so wanted a little more room for thick socks.

The shoes are very comfortable and stabilise the foot well; they work great both during service and long hikes. Unfortunately, after around 9 months of use, the material on the heel wore through, which, given the quality and price, is quite a disappointment.

Unfortunately, shoes costing about 300 PLN are stronger and more comfortable than these. Putting them on and taking them off, as already mentioned, is a real struggle. I do not recommend this model.

Salomon Quest 4D GTX Forces 2 High EN shoes – Earth Brown – despite the reputation of the company and the high price, the workmanship leaves much to be desired – they started to come unglued already during the first use.

Tactical Salomon boots for 1,300 PLN are considered the elite among combat footwear – it is no surprise, then, that they are produced in modern factories in Cambodia, where the shoemakers strive to provide unforgettable experiences. Even putting them on requires effort, and it is best to use vaseline to fit your foot into this luxurious interior. When walking, you feel a point pressure on the ankle thanks to the metal eyelets, which accompanies you for the first 100 km. Then an innovative "heel ventilation" appears. After about 500 km, a hole forms in the back of the shoe, where you can fit half a hand – this allows, for example, to scratch your heel without taking off the shoes. Other manufacturers do not offer such futuristic solutions! After some time, I returned the shoes to the manufacturer, who sent me a new pair, also developing the aforementioned functions. Quality to price ratio? Exceptional. Perfect for those who will appreciate originality and are not afraid of novelty.

These shoes are not worth their price – after just three months the seams at the heel split and water started to get in. I bought them to try but quickly went back to Lowa shoes.

The shoes make a good impression at first, and their features and solutions seem to be of a high standard, but after four months of occasional use, the plastic elements cracked and the sole came unglued. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with these shoes, and friends who bought them have similar or additional problems, such as the toes coming unglued or squeaking. Anyone considering buying them should be aware of possible defects. I found information on Reddit that the quality of production of this model has deteriorated significantly, and this is noticeable during use.

In my opinion, these are the best shoes for working in the service. They are incredibly comfortable, very durable, and perform well in all conditions. I have been using their civilian version for over four years and I have no complaints. It's also important to me that they don't slip on wet surfaces (people familiar with the topic will guess the reference to another company). I definitely recommend them.
