The jacket is fantastic! I have been using it as a winter jacket for two years. It is completely waterproof and windproof. The only downside is the lack of a drawstring at the waist.

A waterproof jacket based on the US ECWS Parka model. Made from a three-layer laminate that provides effective protection against wind and water. The fabric is also breathable, which reduces the risk of overheating during activities requiring increased physical exertion.
The outer layer of the jacket is made of durable nylon, whilst the inner layer is made of polyester. A breathable polyurethane membrane is incorporated within. Underneath the jacket is a detachable, warm fleece lining. Thanks to the lining, the jacket can be worn not only in autumn and spring, but also in winter. The winter-ready nature of the Mil-Tec Wet Weather Jacket is further enhanced by a snow skirt that prevents snow from getting under the jacket.
The jacket features seven pockets:
- two large pockets with Velcro flaps,
- a sleeve pocket,
- a large Velcro-fastened pocket in the lining at the back,
- two side pockets with zips in the lining.
The jacket fastens with a two-way zip, which is additionally protected by a storm flap. Breathability and air circulation are enhanced by underarm ventilation openings, which fasten with zips.
The high collar and hood effectively protect the head and neck from the cold and wind. The cuffs are fastened with Velcro, allowing for size adjustment to fit the wearer’s wrist thickness. The jacket also features a drawcord waist adjustment and a windproof hem that prevents wind from entering beneath the jacket.

The hood is too shallow and does not protect the face well. It seems the manufacturer predicted this, as there are Velcro fastenings and press studs on the hood, probably for attaching some kind of visor. Unfortunately, such an element is neither included nor available.

The jacket gives the impression of being solid and seems to keep you warm thanks to the lining. I did not have the chance to test it in colder conditions or in the rain, as I had to return it. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the sizing – size L turned out to be much too large for me (184 cm, 82 kg, slim build). Based only on trying it on, I can say that the jacket makes a good impression, but definitely make sure you choose the right size before buying! The difference in chest width between this jacket in size L and the GEN 3 jacket is as much as 8 cm!

The jacket is very practical and versatile, exactly what I was looking for. It has a removable fleece, a nice colour and is very well made. However, the sizes tend to run a bit small, so it's worth choosing a size larger than the chart suggests.

Excellent, very warm and truly waterproof jacket. However, I must point out that you should pay attention to the size – I usually wear 2XL, but here, size L was suitable. The jacket with insulation is quite heavy. Despite this, I recommend it.
