The jacket is fantastic! I have been using it as a winter jacket for two years. It is completely waterproof and windproof. The only downside is that it lacks a waistband drawstring.
A waterproof jacket inspired by the US ECWS Parka design. Crafted from a three-layer laminate, it offers superior protection against wind and water. Simultaneously, the fabric is breathable, minimizing the risk of overheating during strenuous activities.
The jacket's exterior is constructed from sturdy nylon, while the interior layer uses polyester. Inside, there's a breathable polyurethane membrane. Additionally, inside the jacket is a removable warm fleece liner. With this liner, the jacket remains suitable for both fall and spring, as well as winter. The snowy weather functionality of the Mil-Tec Wet Weather Jacket is enhanced by a snow apron that stops snow from entering underneath.
This model features seven pockets:
- two large ones secured with Velcro patches,
- a sleeve pocket,
- a sizable back lining pocket with a Velcro closure,
- and two zippered side pockets in the lining.
The jacket is equipped with a two-way zipper, further protected by an added strip. Breathability and environmental air exchange are enhanced by underarm vents, which are sealed with zippers.
Featuring a high collar and hood, it effectively shields the head and neck against wind and cold. The cuffs adjust with velcro, allowing customization based on wrist thickness. There is also a drawcord adjustment for the waist and another in the bolster to block wind from entering.

The hood is too shallow and does not cover the face well. It seems the manufacturer anticipated this, since there are Velcro straps and snaps on the hood—probably intended for attaching some kind of visor. Unfortunately, such an element is neither included nor offered.

The jacket gives the impression of being sturdy and seems to keep you warm thanks to the lining. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it in colder conditions or rain, since I had to return it. Unfortunately, there was an issue with sizing – size L turned out to be way too big for me (184 cm, 82 kg, slim build). Based on just trying it on, I can say the jacket makes a good impression, but be sure to check the sizing carefully before buying! The difference in chest width between this jacket in size L and the GEN 3 jacket is as much as 8 cm!

The jacket is very practical and versatile, exactly what I was looking for. It has a detachable fleece, nice color, and is very well made. However, the sizes run a bit small, so it's worth choosing a size larger than what the chart suggests.

Great, very warm, and truly waterproof jacket. However, I need to point out that you should pay attention to the size—I usually wear 2XL, but here size L was right. The insulated jacket is quite heavy. Despite that, I recommend it.
