Flecktarn camouflage

Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern officially introduced to the Bundeswehr in 1990. This pattern features irregular, small spots in five colours: typically dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. With the arrangement of numerous dots and blurred colour edges, Flecktarn effectively disperses the user's silhouette contours, both in forested areas and in undergrowth or against forest floor backgrounds. The camouflage was designed with European climatic conditions in mind, particularly in the temperate zone. Flecktarn remains the standard pattern used by the German Army and other military and police forces, and its effectiveness has led to many variants and adaptations in other countries.
