Flecktarn camouflage

Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern, officially introduced to the Bundeswehr in 1990. This pattern consists of irregular, small spots in five colors: typically dark green, olive, brown, black, and beige. With numerous points and blurred color boundaries, Flecktarn effectively disperses the user's silhouette contours in forested areas, underbrush, or leaf litter. The camouflage is designed for European climatic conditions, particularly in temperate zones. Flecktarn remains the standard pattern used by the German army and other military and police formations, and its effectiveness has led to many variants and adaptations in other countries.
