Woodland, also known as US Woodland or M81, is a traditional camo pattern introduced to the U.S. Army in the early 1980s, based on the earlier ERDL camouflage. It was the standard pattern used by the U.S. military for over twenty years until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It consists of large, irregular patches in various shades of green, brown, beige, and black, providing excellent masking and deforming properties, particularly in forested areas. Due to its effectiveness and global recognition, it has spawned numerous variants used by over 60 military formations worldwide. This pattern also had a significant impact on pop culture, transitioning from military applications to everyday fashion.
