The gloves are thin, yet very durable. Their design makes them perfect for tasks requiring precision, such as tying shoelaces. They provide good ventilation, so they work well on warmer days. The sizing is accurate, which means if other Mechanix models in size M fit, these will also be suitable.
Mechanix Wear Specialty Vent Tactical Gloves - Covert
Lightweight and breathable gloves in black, designed to protect hands in hot climates. The Specialty Vent model stands out with exceptional ventilation, effectively reducing hand sweating even in high temperatures. This is achieved through the use of special perforation inside the gloves and breathable mesh placed on the outside. Perforated panels on the index finger and thumb allow for mobile device operation without removing the gloves.
cuff with Velcro fastener, TPR cover, notches
The gloves are equipped with a Velcro fastener with an external cover made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR - Thermal Plastic Rubber) located on the wrist. The material used does not restrict freedom of movement, especially when bending the fingers, which translates into high wearing comfort. Precise stitching adapted to the anatomical structure of the hand ensures a perfect fit, and notches at the finger joints increase their mobility.
EN388-212XX standard
The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388-212XX regarding resistance to mechanical hazards, which means:
- 2: abrasion resistance (scale 0–4)
- 1: blade cut resistance (scale 0–5)
- 2: tear resistance (scale 0–4)
- X: puncture resistance (scale 0–4)
- X: TDM cut resistance – ISO 13997 test (scale A–F)
The scales used in the EN 388 standard indicate the protection level of gloves: a value of 0 means no protection, while higher values (4, 5) indicate the highest resistance.
The TDM (ISO 13997) test uses letter ratings, where A indicates the lowest level of protection and F the highest.
The “X” marking indicates that the parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

Mechanix Vent are excellent lightweight gloves for warm weather. I ordered size M based on my hand measurements and at first they felt slightly too tight — I even considered exchanging them for size L. After about 15 minutes of wear, they perfectly adapted to my hands and now fit flawlessly. The dexterity is outstanding — I can easily tie shoelaces, use my phone with every finger, operate zippers, a knife, or a ferro rod without any issues. Even in temperatures around 33°C they remain comfortable and well ventilated. They provide enough protection against friction and small scratches while still maintaining excellent hand feel and precision. At around 24°C they feel almost perfect. Highly recommended.

The gloves have a very pleasant feel when worn, are nice and light, and a bit thinner so you still have a good sense of touch with your fingertips. Thanks to the perforation and thinner fabric, the gloves are also very comfortable to wear even at higher temperatures.

Great gloves for warm days. In my opinion, they are some of the best for summer :) Of course, due to the perforation, they are less durable, but that's the trade-off – comfort comes at a price. If you mainly use them for shooting in the heat and don't subject them to heavy work, they should last longer. I definitely recommend them.
-
Brilliant gloves – very light, perfect for wearing from spring to autumn. They are so unnoticeable on your hands, it's as if they're not there at all, yet they still provide basic protection. Weapons are held securely in them, and they are less bulky than M-Pacts or even FastFits.
-
This is a great choice – these gloves are high quality, fit the hands well and are slightly breathable, which limits sweating. Thanks to the snug fit, it's easy to handle both weapons and small items. They also work well when cycling. Their greatest advantage is the thin material, so they do not restrict movement, yet guarantee a secure grip. Also excellent for shooting ranges, and their use is universal. I definitely recommend them – it's a successful product worth investing in.

These gloves are perfect for people who have problems with excessive sweating of the hands – they have holes on both sides, ensuring very good air circulation. Despite the numerous holes, they are sturdy and do not get damaged. I can honestly recommend them. As described, I use them almost all day and my hands stay dry – I really recommend them.
-
If they are even a bit as durable as they are comfortable, I will only buy this model. I am very sensitive to seams and creases, and here I have no complaints. Suitable for precision work and shooting in them is pure pleasure.
-
Excellent gloves, great trigger feel, I can hardly notice a difference—if anything, I feel the weapon even better than without them. They protect your hands effectively during manual work. I recommend them.
-
Quality at the highest level! I've been using them for years and they've never let me down. They fit perfectly and provide a secure grip. Definitely worth their price. Once again: quality!
-
I highly recommend this model of gloves. They perform excellently when working with firearms. The material is solid and does not wear out quickly.
-
Thin yet well-sewn gloves – the thin material increases trigger feel and the comfort of holding a knife. They have straps to attach to a belt, they are well made and in my opinion worth their price.

This is already my second pair of this model, the previous one was in coyote colour. They are light and very breathable. Durability is quite good, suitable not only for the shooting range, but also proved themselves during long hikes with trekking poles. There are signs of wear, but they're still durable – breathability is a plus. I recommend. I advise against ordering via DHL, always trouble with delivery.
-
Amazing! These are my favourite gloves. They fit my hands perfectly. Although they're intended more for higher temperatures, they even work for me at +5°C, of course during movement, because they are not insulated.
-
Great for warm days, although they seem a bit delicate. We'll see how they hold up later. They are light and ventilated, I am satisfied and can recommend them.
