Universal hammock mosquito net "Magla" of the Polish brand Lesovik. It is characterized by a design similar to an inverted envelope. This makes the mosquito net very versatile. And although it was designed with hammocks in mind, it will also work easily with field beds, canoes or hostel beds in remote corners of the world.
In combination with the hammock, the mosquito net can be used in two ways:
- by closing it from the bottom with a sewn-in welt (creating a "cocoon"),
- by pinning it to the ground thanks to 4 loops attached at the bottom edge (creating a "tent").
"Cocoon" provides a high level of protection against insects, while giving you the ability to quickly lower the hammock without having to struggle with the zippers. The "tent", on the other hand, protects against insects even if you do not sleep in the hammock but, for example, on a field bed or directly on the ground. Only 4 pegs or sharpened sticks are needed to set it up.
The net from which the mosquito net is made is so dense that not even blackflies can get through it. In addition, the mosquito net does not catch forest "fuzz", so its contact with the litter will not end up with the need for tedious cleaning from needles or leaves.
Once suspended in the hammock, the "Magla" itself arranges itself according to the hammock's shape, so there is no need for additional spacers, arches or racks. When the mosquito net is not needed, it can easily be rolled up without moving the hammock itself.
The mosquito net comes with a set of ropes for hanging.

The mosquito net works perfectly. During a longer trip, when I first used a hammock to sleep in, it protected me from insects. If it wasn't for this purchase, I would have been bitten on the first night. :D The only downside is quite a high price. On the plus side: made in Poland and excellent quality :)
