Universal hammock mosquito net "Magla" from the Polish brand Lesovik. Featuring a design akin to an upside-down envelope, the mosquito net offers remarkable versatility. While initially crafted for hammocks, it's equally effective with camping beds, canoes, or hostel bunks in far-flung locales.
Paired with a hammock, the mosquito net can be utilized in two distinct manners:
- by sealing it from the bottom with an integrated welt (forming a "cocoon"),
- or by anchoring it to the ground using 4 loops on the bottom edge (creating a "tent").
"The "cocoon" configuration delivers superior insect protection and allows for quick hammock adjustment without cumbersome zippers. Conversely, the "tent" form guards against insects even when not using a hammock, such as on a campsite cot or directly on the ground. Setup requires only 4 stakes or sharpened sticks.
The net's weave is so fine that even blackflies are unable to penetrate it. Furthermore, the mosquito net remains free from forest debris, ensuring no extra cleaning of needles or leaves is necessary after contact with the ground.
When hung with a hammock, the "Magla" adapts itself to the hammock's shape without needing additional spacers, arches, or frames. If not in use, the mosquito net can be conveniently rolled up without disturbing the hammock.
Included with the mosquito net is a set of ropes for suspension.

The mosquito net works perfectly. During a longer trip, when I used a hammock for sleeping for the first time, it protected me from insects. If not for this purchase, I would have been bitten the very first night. :D The only downside is the rather high price. On the plus side: made in Poland and great quality :)
