A summer sleeping bag designed to provide thermal comfort in moderate temperatures. The mummy shape reduces the space inside, which translates into better heat retention.
The interior is filled with natural duck down mixed with feathers in a 92/8 ratio, protected by a water-repellent coating. The waterproofing protects against rapid moisture absorption and accelerates drying. The 800 cuin loft down has excellent compression, allowing the sleeping bag to be packed into a compact cover.
Temperatures and conditions of use
The EN 13537 standard specifies the performance parameters of the Fjord Nansesn Svalbard sleeping bag:
- T-comfort: +6°C – comfort temperature for women,
- T-limit: +1°C – lowest comfort limit for men,
- T-extreme: -11°C – survival limit, not recommended for regular use.
Rip-Stop weave, WR water repellent coating
The outer layer is made of 10D nylon in a Rip-Stop weave, which ensures high tear resistance. Hydrophobic WR waterproofing effectively reduces moisture penetration.
Additional insulation in the foot area increases comfort on colder nights. A down-filled strip along the zip protects against the cold, while H-shaped chambers prevent the filling from moving.
Anti-Bite Sytem, Footbox, Duo adjustment tapes
The model is equipped with a renowned SBS zip with an Anti-Bite system, located on the right side, which opens along the entire length and prevents jamming. The upper drawstring increases insulation on cold nights. Loops for attaching the liner keep the inner insert in place.
The removable footbox allows for better ventilation of the feet. Duo elastic straps allow for easy adjustment without leaving the sleeping bag. Inside, there is a handy pocket for small items.
