I was rather looking for a short knife, but when I found this model on Militaria, curiosity won and I decided to buy it. After a few days of use, I admit that it works great, it is excellent for chopping vegetables and fruits, and it also handles meat superbly – what more could you expect from a knife? If someone needs a really big knife for the kitchen, this is a great option.

The knife works brilliantly as a tool for chopping and mincing vegetables, but it can also be successfully used for removing the heads from fish, especially carp with very tough bones. Reading the previous comment, I get the impression that some people buy a knife and then don't know what to use it for... I recommend both the shop and Cold Steel.

I really appreciate Cold Steel kitchen knives – I already have the complete set for filleting. However, with this model, I have mixed feelings :-( The 10-inch, extremely wide blade – to this day, I can't find a use for it in the kitchen. It's huge, it reminds me of a small machete.
