The Boker Plus Bit-Pen is an excellent example of a practical EDC tool – it combines the simplicity of a classic pen with additional features useful when out and about. The casing is solid and appears durable (usually made from aluminium or metal), and the craftsmanship is pleasing – threads run smoothly, and the clip holds firmly in a pocket. Main advantages in everyday use: Writing: the pen writes evenly (the refill can be chosen to suit personal preferences), and it provides a comfortable grip. Bit-driver: inside is a replaceable bit (most commonly a 1/4" set), ideal for minor repairs, adjustments, or quick jobs outdoors when you don’t want to bring a separate screwdriver. Glass breaker: the tip makes actions in emergencies easier, such as breaking glass. Clip and size: the clip is sturdy, and the pen is convenient to carry in a pocket or on a belt; it doesn’t fall out or rotate too easily. Durability: the surface resists everyday scratches well, and the mechanism worked flawlessly throughout testing. Drawbacks / comments: Weight and size: for those expecting very lightweight tools, it may feel too heavy. Price: for such a multifunctional gadget you have to pay a bit more than for a regular pen, but the additional features compensate for the higher price. Refill: it can be replaced, but if you want a specific type (such as a gel fine-liner), it’s best to buy that replacement straight away.
