Badger Outdoor Assault Recon Backpack 40 l - Black

A patrol backpack with a capacity of 40L, suitable for tourism, survival, and everyday urban use. The carrying system with contoured shoulder straps, a hip belt, and fastex quick-release buckles ensures high comfort of use. Four pockets, two compartments, and the MOLLE attachment system allow for easy organization and expansion of equipment.

 

Storage System - 2 main compartments, multiple pockets

The Recon 40L model includes four main pockets, allowing for optimal organization of equipment. Two compartments accommodate larger items, such as a sleeping bag, food, or clothing. The larger compartment has an additional flat pocket for small items, secured with a zip. The smaller compartment features a flat pocket and two mesh pockets, facilitating organization and quick retrieval of small items.

Two front pockets on the backpack - a larger lower pocket and a smaller upper pocket - are intended for small pieces of equipment. The lower pocket contains an organiser for documents and keys, while the upper is suitable for carrying a phone, glasses, or navigation equipment.

Special Pocket for System or Hydration Reservoir

On the outer rear part of the backpack, there is a velcro-closed compartment designed for a hydration reservoir. It allows for convenient transportation of water supply, providing quick access to hydration without the need to remove bottles. This pocket is discreetly placed and well-secured, protecting the reservoir from damage during marches and challenging terrain activities.

High-Quality Zips and MOLLE Attachment System

All pockets of the backpack are secured with thick, spiral zips with double sliders, ensuring smooth and quick opening.

The backpack is equipped with the MOLLE attachment system - straps placed on the front and sides of the backpack allow for attaching additional equipment. D-rings located on the straps enable the attachment of tactical elements.

Compression Straps and Capacity Adjustment

The Recon 40L model allows adjustment of its exterior size to contents thanks to compression straps, which are located on both sides, at the bottom, and on the top. Shortening the straps allows for flattening the backpack, helping maintain its stability and neat appearance, even when compartments are partially emptied.

Contoured detachable shoulder straps, removable hip belt

The backpack is equipped with an advanced carrying system, ensuring comfort and stability. The contoured shoulder straps are finished with fastex-type quick-detachment buckles – QD (Quick Detachment) for quick backpack removal if needed. Strap adjustment allows for perfect fit to the body, and additional support is provided by a chest strap and a detachable hip belt, facilitating stable carrying of heavier loads.

    At first it seemed great, but after the second tactical training, shortcomings started to emerge. The cords, which should be secured with stitching, are simply cut, which causes the shoulder strap to come undone on its own during a march. After the third training, one of the shoulder straps almost tore off – only the reinforcement saved it. The hip belt detached and was lost because of poorly sewn cords. If you want to attach a mat or sleeping bag, it's difficult, you have to buy extra attachments, as they are not included in the set.

    A very practical and spacious backpack, I think it’s definitely worth its price. The materials and workmanship are of a high standard. The hip and chest straps relieve the back well. Additionally, it looks very nice, especially worthwhile during promotions.

    First impression is positive – the backpack has two large compartments, the largest of which opens along its entire length, is quite spacious, and the small pocket is perfect for a first aid kit. The zips seem solid. Unfortunately, a big downside are the cords – all the straps are not secured at the ends and during use, especially with other gear like a vest, they come undone on their own. After the first use, the supporting strap on the belt and the stiffening straps on the chest already fell off.

    This is a very good backpack. It comes with large, seemingly strong zips which work very smoothly, which I consider a great advantage. It is spacious and a bit tall, but that makes it look slim.
