Badger Outdoor Assault Recon Backpack 40 l - Black

Patrol backpack with a 40-liter capacity is crafted for diverse applications, ranging from tourism and survival adventures to daily urban use. A carry system featuring contoured shoulder straps, a waist belt, and fastex quick-release buckles ensures comfortable usage by notably enhancing carrying comfort. Four pockets, two primary compartments, and the MOLLE webbing system aid in organization and elevate the backpack's functionality.

 

Convenient storage system - 2 main compartments, numerous pockets

The Recon 40L version offers four primary pockets, providing exceptional storage capacity for gear. Two compartments are suitable for bulkier items like a sleeping bag, provisions, or apparel. The larger compartment includes an additional flat zipped pocket, perfect for smaller belongings. Meanwhile, the smaller compartment is equipped with a flat pocket and two mesh pockets to facilitate organization and allow quick access to smaller items.

Positioned on the front of the backpack are two extra pockets - a larger, lower one and a smaller, upper one - designed for compact accessories. The lower pocket features an organizer for documents and keys, while the upper pocket is ideal for securing a phone, eyewear, or navigation equipment.

Dedicated pocket for Hydration System

On the back of the backpack, there's a compartment secured with velcro specifically designed for the hydration system. This feature enables you to conveniently carry a water supply, allowing quick access to hydration without needing to remove bottles. The pocket is discreetly positioned and well-protected, safeguarding the cartridge from damage while you're on the move in the field.

Robust Zips, MOLLE System, d-rings

All the pockets on the backpack feature sturdy, spiral double zippers, ensuring both seamless operation and longevity.

Additionally, the backpack integrates the MOLLE webbing system—webbing on the front and sides allows for the attachment of extra gear. D-rings on the shoulder straps enable the attachment of supplementary tactical accessories.

Compression straps and size adjustment

The Recon 40L is equipped with compression straps, enabling the backpack to adjust to its contents. Positioned on the sides, bottom, and top, these straps help flatten the bag for enhanced stability and a tidier appearance, even when not fully packed.

Contoured self-adjusting shoulder straps, detachable waist belt

The backpack features an advanced carrying system that ensures both comfort and stability. With a profiled harness finished with QD (Quick Detachment) fastex attachments, the backpack can be swiftly removed when necessary. Additionally, the adjustable shoulder straps offer a customized fit, while the chest strap and removable hip belt enhance comfort when bearing heavier loads.

    At first, it seemed great, but after the second tactical training, shortcomings began to emerge. The drawstrings, which should be secured with stitching, are just cut off, causing the shoulder strap to come undone by itself during walking. After the third training, one of the shoulder straps almost tore off—only the reinforcement saved it. The waist belt came off and got lost due to poorly stitched drawstrings as well. If you want to attach a mat or sleeping bag, it’s difficult; you’ll need to buy additional attachments, as none are included.

    A very practical and spacious backpack, I believe it is definitely worth its price. The materials and workmanship are of high quality. The hip and chest straps help relieve the back. Additionally, it looks very nice, especially worth buying during promotions.

    First impression is positive – the backpack has two large compartments, with the biggest one opening along its entire length. It is quite spacious, and the small pocket is perfect for a first aid kit. The zippers seem robust. Unfortunately, a big downside is the drawstrings – none of the straps are secured at the ends, and during use, especially with other gear like a vest, they tend to come undone. After the first use, the supporting waist strap and chest stiffening straps both came off.

    This is a very good backpack. It has large, seemingly strong zippers that work very smoothly, which I consider a big advantage. It is spacious and a bit tall, but that makes it look slim. It has two separate large compartments and two smaller ones, and the bigger compartments have additional organizers. There’s also a larger pocket with Velcro closure at the back.

    I used this boot backpack during my ski trip – first I kept my ski boots in it, then I switched them for walking shoes. The backpack has durable zippers and is solidly made, I definitely wouldn't buy anything else in this price range – cheap supermarket products always broke quickly for me, but this one is doing very well.
