The anatomical mummy shape effectively minimises heat loss and enhances thermal insulation due to better fit to the silhouette. Combining an improved shape, lightweight construction, and efficient insulation, the sleeping bag is suitable for both weekend tent trips and longer, intense expeditions.

The Alpinus Wide & Long Fiber Pro 1100 sleeping bag's usage temperatures, as specified by EN 13537:

• T-comfort: +9 deg. C - the lowest temperature in which a woman can comfortably sleep through the night,
• T-limit: +5 deg. C - the minimum temperature in which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
• T-extreme: -10 deg. C - the lowest temperature in which survival is possible in the sleeping bag. This is not a recommended value for standard use.

The outer layer is made of strong nylon, resistant to creasing and intensive use. This material effectively wicks away moisture and helps maintain thermal comfort during sleep. The combination of durable outer material with soft inner lining provides a balance between durability and usability comfort.

Thermal insulation is ensured by the synthetic Fiber Pro filling, which effectively maintains thermal insulation properties even after getting damp. This makes the sleeping bag suitable for more demanding field conditions, where there is high humidity or contact with wet ground.

The synthetic filling allows for easy machine washing of the sleeping bag, making it easier to keep it clean with regular use. The fibres used excellently retain their structure and resilience over a longer period.

The model is equipped with a two-way zip from the renowned brand YKK. It allows for partial opening of the sleeping bag from the bottom, enabling temperature regulation and improving ventilation, e.g., around the feet area.

The length of the zip is fitted with an Anti-Snag system, reducing the risk of material catching during closing and opening of the sleeping bag. An additional security feature by the head, in the form of a pocket with a double velcro fastener, reduces the risk of unwanted zip opening during sleep.

The model features a hood with a drawstring, allowing accurate coverage of the head during cooler nights. The inner thermal collar limits the loss of heated air from inside the sleeping bag, enhancing thermal insulation.
