Balaclavas

A balaclava is a type of elongated hat with openings that can cover the face and neck. The balaclava is often also referred to by its English name, balaclava. Balaclavas are frequently used by special forces and the military, mainly to make it difficult for opponents to recognize identities. Balaclavas are also eagerly used by reenactment groups, and airsoft players often choose them for additional protection against pellets hitting the face, serving as an alternative to a scarf. Balaclavas are very often made from thermal materials. They are worn by motorcyclists or racing and rally drivers, where they serve as an additional layer cushioning the head in the helmet and providing appropriate thermal comfort. Skiers also eagerly use balaclavas, which then protect the face from wind and cold, flooding the face during fast rides down the slope. 

Using balaclavas, we can also shield the respiratory tract and face from dust and sunlight in dry climates. Balaclavas come in many variations, which is why we offer single-hole balaclavas with a wide eye cutout, two-hole balaclavas with a single eye cutout and an additional one for the mouth or nose, and three-hole balaclavas with separate cutouts for each eye and a cutout for the mouth or nose. Balaclavas are made from various materials, including cotton, polyester, polyamide, lycra, or merino wool, which is a very warm natural material also known as merino. Balaclavas are available in many colors, not only black but also including coyote or olive, in camouflage patterns known as camo, and with prints, such as skulls.
