These are basic Mechanix gloves that perform great for any hard work at the shooting range and in the field. However, you have to keep one drawback in mind — they soak up water very quickly, and just a moment of contact with a wet surface is enough for them to get soaked right away.
Mechanix Wear FastFit Core 3 Tactical Gloves - Wolf Grey
Universal durable gloves crafted to offer basic mechanical protection. Their snug fit ensures complete grip control without restricting precise movements. Perfect for law enforcement officers, military personnel, shooting sports enthusiasts, as well as for survival trips, auto repair tasks, DIY activities, and airsoft matches.
Breathable CoolPlus fabric, Rip-Stop weave, touchscreen compatibility, Lock Ring technology
The upper section of the gloves is crafted from breathable, lightweight CoolPlus fabric, effectively minimizing hand perspiration and ensuring optimal ventilation. The back of the fingers features Rip-Stop material, which resists tearing and fraying even when locally damaged, offering enhanced abrasion resistance. The grip area utilizes durable 0.6 mm thick synthetic leather, providing a strong grip and control, while allowing the use of touchscreen devices without needing to remove the gloves. The Lock Ring panel safeguards the critical area around the thumb, enhancing the durability of the construction and reducing seam damage.
stretch-elastic cuff, 2-piece palm construction
A wide stretch-elastic cuff offers enhanced protection and ensures the gloves stay firmly on the wrist. The opening is quite spacious, facilitating easy putting on. The 2-piece inner palm design minimizes curling and gathering, enhancing the gloves' fit. The lower palm section includes ventilated padding, which boosts air circulation and guards against injuries.
norm: ANSI/ISEA 105-3XX and EN388-2121X
The gloves meet the American protective standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level 3XX in terms of resistance to cutting, abrasion, and puncture, which means:
- 3: abrasion resistance (on a scale from 1 to 6)
- X: cut resistance (on a scale from A1 to A9)
- X: puncture resistance (on a scale from 0 to 5)
The gloves meet the protective standard EN388 at level 2121X in terms of resistance to mechanical risks, which means:
- 2: abrasion resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- 1: cut resistance (on a scale of 0–5)
- 2: tear resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- 1: puncture resistance (on a scale of 0–4)
- X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (on a scale of A–F)
In the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance is rated on a scale from 1 to 6 and refers to the number of cycles a material can withstand before wearing out. Cut resistance is classified on a scale from A1 to A9 (from the lowest to the highest level of protection). Puncture resistance is rated on a scale from 0 to 5 and indicates the force required to puncture the glove surface with a sharp probe (does not apply to needle puncture).
The scales specified in the EN388 standard define the level of glove protection: a value of 0 indicates no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate the maximum level of resistance.
When testing using the TDM method (ISO 13997), letter markings are used, where A indicates the lowest level of protection and F the highest.
The X marking indicates that the given parameter was not tested or is not applicable.

The gloves are well made, suitable for both off-road riding and cycling – they provide good protection against cold in spring and autumn. The size is appropriate, although to be really comfortable, they needed to break in for a few days.

You can not go wrong with Mechanix gloves. These are not my first pair. My first lasted years of medium use. The durability is good, fit is good too, they are comfortable to wear. Especially for the price you get a good dependable product, available in plenty of colors. Since these are often sold at discounted prices on the Military site, they are really a no brainer.
