    You could do it more cheaply using paracord, but this ridgeline isn't expensive and works well, as it doesn't stretch and fits the hammock. It definitely makes it easier to maintain the right hammock curve.

    Does it make it easier to hang a hammock correctly? Probably yes. Does it have any other uses? Yes, you can hang a mosquito net or a camping lamp on it. Are there any other applications – I'm not sure, but I've heard it's worth having, so I bought it.
