Opinel No.8 Mushroom Folding Knife
The branded Opinel mushroom knife is an indispensable tool for collecting and cleaning mushrooms. Its specially shaped sickle-shaped blade ensures precise cutting, while the brush at the end of the handle allows for easy removal of dirt and pine needles, making it an exceptionally functional tool for forest expedition enthusiasts.

The blade, made of stainless steel, has been carefully polished to achieve an elegant semi-matte finish. The full flat grind, close to a zero-grind finish, combined with the thin blade profile, guarantees excellent cutting efficiency. This allows mushrooms to be separated from the ground effortlessly without causing damage.
The opening mechanism relies on a traditional notch on the blade, similar to those found in Victorinox pocket knives. Once unfolded, a special Viroblock steel ring, patented in 1955, locks the blade in place, preventing accidental closure. The same locking system effectively protects the knife from unintended opening during transport, enhancing user safety.
The natural beech wood handle gives the tool a classic appearance and ensures a firm and comfortable grip. Its ergonomic shape allows the knife to fit perfectly in the hand, making it comfortable to use for extended periods. Another advantage is the possibility of customization—the wood can be carved, its texture modified, or a hole drilled for a lanyard, further increasing the knife’s versatility.
