Leatherman ARC Multitool with sheath

The multitool is fine, although I think the price is somewhat inflated. I have been using it for over a year now, but yesterday when I wanted to break a window in my Passat, I couldn't break it, and the bits fell out almost like Kargul's lock. Today I bought the missing parts and completed the set. All in all, if I didn't already have it, I would probably be 90% likely to buy it.

I bought it because I wanted to add it to my collection. It has joined my other models: Rev, Sidekick, Rebar, Skeletool CX, ST300, Wave+ Polish Army and Surge. I have to admit, I'm a collector :) I've been thinking about the ARC since its launch. The price didn't put me off, it was just that the opportunity hadn't come up. Now I've finally managed to get it ;) and I have my own ARC. First impressions - it's relatively light. Very well made and opens smoothly. I knew you could open it with one hand, but it works just like a balisong :) No other knife has given me so much pleasure in opening since the SOG with axle-lock. The Magnacut blade is very sharp and looks nice. The scissors are also great, easily accessible and attractive. The whole tool looks very good. I definitely won't use it for heavy work, in the workshop, for renovations or construction. It doesn't have to prove anything. It's just meant to be pleasant to look at and be at hand.

I've been using it for two days and I'm satisfied with the solid craftsmanship. The engraving option is an interesting feature that I made use of. The price is high by Polish standards, but the quality really is impressive. Recommended.

Great tool, I use it every day and always have it with me, but at this price the build quality should be better – after less than a year a piece broke off at the hinge when opening the knife. The 25-year warranty is a plus, but it takes a while to get repairs and the tool back from Germany.

I bought myself this multitool as a present; it's very expensive but excellent. For typical work, I'd rather recommend something cheaper, but if someone wants the flagship model with an excellent warranty, it will be a perfect choice.

This is the most expensive Leatherman, I hesitated for a long time whether it was worth buying but eventually decided to go for it. The Free technology is brilliant – I wish every Leatherman model had this solution.

The Leatherman Arc is pure perfection – worth every penny. The build quality sets new standards in the multitool market for years to come. Attention to detail, top-shelf Magnacut steel and manufacturing in the USA put the Arc at the very top and it will stay there for a long time.

I bought this multitool because it looks like a work of art. I thought it would replace my Wave+, but it's almost a shame to use it – it's made so well. An advantage is being able to open everything with one hand, although it takes some getting used to at first. The Magnacut blade is sharp, although I was expecting even more sharpness – I have other knives made from this steel that are sharper straight out of the box.

Very nice tool. I use several models from this manufacturer, but I rate this one the highest. The ability to open everything with one hand is a huge convenience. I truly recommend it – you buy it once, and it lasts for years.

Solid tool, the biggest plus is being able to open everything with one hand. The MagnaCut blade is the strongest aspect of this model. There are, however, some annoyances – such as scissors that are too short, an impractical 'hammer' and the lack of a t-shank slot. It's worth spending this much mainly if you're a brand fan – for occasional use, any Leatherman is sufficient.
