Leatherman ARC Multitool

Leatherman ARC stands out as the premier multitool featuring a knife crafted from advanced CPM MagnaCut powder steel. This material ensures the blade has superb edge retention, exceptional durability, and notable resistance to corrosion. Moreover, MagnaCut steel offers easier sharpening than other alloys of similar hardness. The blade is enhanced with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, delivering additional corrosion protection. The product comes with a 25-year warranty.

Note!

We can laser engrave text on the handle for you.

Solid stainless steel framework, FREE technology

The construction and tools are made of 420 stainless steel, which has undergone specialized heat treatment, ensuring that each component has the optimal hardness. The arms of the multitool are coated with a black DLC coating, which is characterized by high scratch resistance and provides protection against corrosion while minimizing glare.

The Arc model features FREE technology, which includes magnetic inserts placed in the arms, stabilizing the tool in the folded position. The appropriately chosen magnetic force and precise fitting of the components allow for easy one-handed opening of the multitool.

main blade made from CPM MagnaCut steel

The Arc model is notable for its knife blade made from CPM MagnaCut stainless steel resistant to dulling, a feature virtually unheard of in typical multitools. The use of high-quality steel combined with the ability for one-handed opening makes the Leatherman Arc a viable alternative to classic folding knives. This steel combines high wear and corrosion resistance with an optimal level of toughness. The blade is hardened to a hardness of 60-63 HRC and coated with a black DLC coating. A thumb stud on the blade facilitates its opening.

Easy opening, tools with locking mechanism

Opening the tools on the ARC model is simple – just push the edge of the tool with your thumb to make it slide out from the handles. Then, you select and unfold the tool you want to use. All tools in the handles are secured by an internal locking system, combining smooth operation and secure locking of the tools.

CPM MagnaCut feature
CPM MagnaCut
CPM MagnaCut is a stainless tool steel developed by Crucible Industries and produced using powder metallurgy (CPM). It is characterized by high strength, high wear resistance, and very good corrosion resistance, despite its relatively low chromium content (10.7%). The steel is comparable to the best tool steels, such as CPM-4V or Vanadis 4E, offering high resistance to cracking and chipping. Thanks to the use of free chromium and carbides formed mainly by vanadium (4%), CPM MagnaCut is less brittle and resistant to abrasion, even with a hardness of 60-64 HRC. In addition, the presence of niobium (2%) and molybdenum (2%) ensures stability at high temperatures, making the steel ideal for harsh working conditions. The composition of CPM MagnaCut also includes 1.15% carbon, which ensures adequate hardness and edge durability, making this steel valued in the manufacture of tools and weapons.
420 feature
420
420 is a martensitic stainless steel often used in cutlery, especially in kitchen knives, EDC, and budget outdoor models. It is characterized by a relatively low carbon content (0.16-0.25%), which allows for a hardness range of 54-57 HRC, ensuring easy sharpening and resistance to chipping. Chromium (12-14%) provides good corrosion resistance, making the steel suitable for use in humid conditions. Silicon and manganese additives (up to 1%) improve strength and hardenability, while low sulfur and phosphorus content reduce the brittleness of the material. 420 steel is valued for its high corrosion resistance, relatively high impact strength (resistance to cracks and chipping), and low processing costs. Thanks to its ease of machining and polishing, it is popular in the production of low- and mid-range knives.
DLC - Diamond-Like Carbon feature
DLC - Diamond-Like Carbon
DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) is a modern protective coating in which a thin layer of amorphous carbon with a structure similar to diamond is applied to steel. It increases the hardness and abrasion resistance of the blade, protects against corrosion, and reduces friction during cutting. The characteristic matte shade of black or anthracite gives the knife a tactical look and eliminates light reflections, which is important in military and outdoor applications. Thanks to its high scratch resistance, the blade retains its aesthetics and functional properties for longer, which is why the DLC finish is widely used in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Leatherman FREE feature
Leatherman FREE
FREE technology from Leatherman is an innovative system based on internal magnets that allows for smooth, one-handed opening and closing of tools. The elements automatically move into the correct position, which increases convenience and speed of use. The design eliminates traditional springs, making the tool more durable and resistant to wear and tear. All tools are easily accessible from the outside, without having to unfold the multitool.

As you would expect from Leatherman, the build quality is truly outstanding; the workmanship of the Leatherman Arc Talos feels noticeably more premium than that of all other Leatherman tools, by a wide margin. The tool set on the LM Arc is genuinely very well thought out, with everything you might need in everyday life. What naturally stands out is the Magnacut knife blade, which is not only razor sharp but also stays that way for a very long time, and even when it does need sharpening, that can be done relatively easily. All in all, it’s a really great multitool that is worth the price!

I've had it for a few months, with elegant engraving. It's a versatile, solid, and compact tool. The price may seem high, but in return you get a product that will last for many years and does not get damaged easily, and I have really tested it thoroughly myself.

Great product, although its price could be a bit lower. I really like its design; I have the Wave Plus model, but this one is definitely much better for me to use. In addition to the excellent blade steel, the Free technology makes it much easier to use.

Leatherman ARC Talos – robust multitool with excellent one-handed operation So far, I’m very satisfied with the Leatherman ARC Talos. Right from the start, the multitool makes an exceptionally robust and practical impression and, in my view, is excellent for outdoor use, bushcraft, camping, and everyday carry. The one-handed operation is particularly impressive. Thanks to the FREE system, the tools can be used very comfortably and quickly. After a short break-in period and a bit of oil on the joints and moving parts, the tools operate very smoothly. The build quality feels exceptionally high-end, and the entire tool gives the impression that it will hold up for a long time even under demanding use. The MagnaCut blade and the extensive feature set make the ARC Talos a very versatile tool. The only minor drawback for me is the weight. For a classic EDC, the ARC Talos is somewhat heavier, but it can still be carried comfortably and without issues on a belt. For bushcraft and outdoor use, weight plays a much smaller role anyway. I was also impressed by the order from Military.eu: delivery to Austria was exceptionally fast at only three days, making it the fastest delivery I’ve experienced so far when ordering from here. Conclusion: a high-quality, extremely robust, and functional multitool that absolutely justifies its price in my view. For outdoor and bushcraft use, but also as a premium EDC, I can recommend the ARC Talos without reservation.

It’s obviously clear that the Leatherman Arc is an outstanding product: I’m totally satisfied—the Leatherman feels incredibly premium and gives a solid, high-quality impression. I’m even more impressed by the seller, though. My Leatherman was delivered in just under 1.5 days, and that was with standard shipping. I’m really impressed by that speed… The price for the tool was unbeatable too. All in all: 5 out of 5 stars!!⭐️

Definitely Leatherman's best multitool. The one handed operation is great in a pinch and the whole thing feels smooth to use straight out of the box. The magnacut blade is wicked sharp and the quality of engraving offered by military.eu is fantastic!

Perfectly made equipment. It's better to pay a little more and be sure that you're getting a top-quality product. Both the appearance and the experience during use suggest that it will last for many years. Despite initial hesitation about the price, I have no doubts now. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

At first, I was worried that it was a bit of a midlife-crisis gadget. On top of that, it costs an absurd amount, so I wondered who would even need it. After all, I already have screwdrivers, pliers, and a hammer, so I didn’t really know myself why I bought it. However, after half a year, I’m glad I always have it with me. If I lost it somewhere in the woods, I would order another one without hesitation. It’s solid and convenient, as long as you actually carry it with you. It has loads of advantages and really only four drawbacks, so I’ll focus on those: 1 - the hammer. It’s easy to hurt your hand with it during use, but despite that, it’s there and it works. 2 - the hammer. While using it, you can lose the bit (I lost one myself). 3 - the hammer. While using it, you can also lose the precision bit (I lost that too). 4 - the price. I also have the Signal, and there’s no point pretending otherwise - it’s a long way behind the Arc.

The multitool makes a very positive impression from the very first use. It is clear that solid materials were used in its production, which gives it rigidity and a sense of exceptional durability. The mechanisms work smoothly, and the locks are strong and stable, which translates to convenience and safety during use. The multitool’s equipment is well-thought-out and works well both for household tasks and outside the home. The main blade is very sharp and maintains its cutting properties for a long time. Despite its many functions, the multitool is not too large and is easy to carry in a pocket or on a belt. This is an excellent option for people who need a reliable and durable tool. I definitely recommend it to anyone who values high quality.

With Leatherman, you just can't go wrong – the tool is very solid and extremely practical. The case looks great. The additional interchangeable tools included in the set were a pleasant surprise. I considered buying it in the United States because of the higher price in Poland, but here you get those accessories in the price that are missing if you buy from the USA. I learned that the Arc models and other Leathermans tend to go on sale once a year. For this reason, it's worth waiting for a good deal!

In my opinion, this is the best multitool not only among Leatherman, but overall. It has a wonderful mechanism that works flawlessly. You can really access everything with one hand – open, close, and unfold the multitool to use the pliers, knife holder, or something else. It’s truly a fantastic multitool. In my opinion, it’s the best.

Leatherman has released a truly excellent multitool. I am impressed with the quality of craftsmanship and the way the tool opens. This is my second favorite model, right after the Wave+ Polish Army. I didn't choose the set with bits and a holster in the silver version, but I think the Talos color fully makes up for it :) I definitely recommend it!

The pliers are very good and functional. A big plus is the convenient access to the tools and the pliers themselves, which definitely justifies the price, as does the excellent quality of the materials and finish. I also have the Surge model, which is noticeably heavier and feels different to use.

This is an extremely solid multitool, the photos don't reflect its workmanship quality. The package was heavier than I expected, and once I took the tool out, I was surprised by the great build quality. The price is high, but the high-quality steel and user comfort make up for it to some extent. I definitely recommend it—you can tell it will last for years.
