The Olive Green long-sleeved thermal fleece sweatshirt Helikon-Tex serves as the second layer in the ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) used by the U.S. Armed Forces. Thermoactive Comfort Dry fleece
The shirt is made from Comfort Dry thermal fabric, consisting of 95% polyester and 5% elastane. The fabric dries quickly and efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin, ensuring thermal comfort even during intense physical activity. A special grid-like structure enhances evaporation efficiency, while fleece fibers provide effective insulation in low temperatures. It works well with additional layers of the ECWCS system or other thermal garments, making it suitable for cold and changing weather conditions.
Well thought-out cut, high collar
The shirt includes long sleeves with thumb openings that help keep them in place during movement and offer added warmth around the hands. An extended back panel helps protect the lower back and kidney area from cold, especially while bending or crouching. Flat seams are used to reduce skin irritation. The high collar guards the neck against wind and cold, while the long front zipper makes the shirt easy to put on and provides ventilation when needed.

The thermoactive shirt is very comfortable – for my body shape (a slight belly), size L fitted well but was not tight. It serves its function – it efficiently wicks away sweat and moisture after exertion; for example, after stepping out of a hot shower, I could feel the moisture evaporating rather than staying on my skin, and at the same time, I wasn’t cold or uncomfortable. The shirt also worked great during the night PiRO competition at the shooting range – wearing just it directly on my skin and a Helikon Patriot fleece, I was warm throughout the event. A big plus is the high collar, which protected my neck well from the cold. The only things missing from the full set are leggings and a hat – they're really worth getting.

The T-shirt is extremely comfortable and functional, made from a soft-touch material. The sleeves with thumbholes are very practical. It retains warmth better than a jacket liner, even though it's thinner.

Very pleasant and warm, perfect for winter days. The high collar protects the neck well, and the thumb holes provide extra protection for the hands and make it easier to put on additional layers. It works great as both a first and second layer. Tested at -15°C – worn under a jacket without extra insulation, it worked excellently. I recommend it!

The shirt is very comfortable and practical, made from pleasant material. The sleeves with thumbholes are really handy. It provides more warmth than the Gorka liner, even though it takes up less space.

I have the sweatshirt in size L, at 171 cm tall and 85 kg – fits perfectly under a fleece or softshell at temperatures 0 to +5°C. Very good quality. It's less stretchy than, for example, Brubeck merino, but more versatile. Sometimes I use it as a second layer under merino, which works great during breaks or when below zero. I appreciate it for its versatility and definitely recommend it.

I have mixed feelings about this product – the cut is very nice, but the material is average and not very stretchy. My item had a strange, petrol-like smell. For slightly more money you can get much better quality products from reputable outdoor brands.

The shirt fits well, sits nicely and is comfortable. Made from good material, as you'd expect from Helikon. Warm, just what I wanted. Dries quickly after washing. Fast delivery, recommend!

Warm and well-fitting sweatshirt, sleeves are narrow (which suits me) and a bit short – when put over the thumb, they are stretched (but I have long arms). It could be 5 cm longer, as I wear it tucked into my trousers. My measurements: 186 cm tall, 108 cm chest, 84 kg. I'm satisfied with the purchase. It's worth remembering that the black and green sweatshirts have different sizing (info on militaria.pl).

The shirt is warm and pleasant to the touch. The stand-up collar fits well around the neck and offers protection, while the zip allows for wide opening. I’m 192 cm, 84 kg and 88 cm waist, size L is quite loose – M would be more fitted.

Super jumper. On a winter expedition to the mountains as the first of two layers at 0°C, it worked perfectly. The material is top quality, and because it’s longer, it protects your kidneys well and stays tucked in even during intense movement.

The shirt is very comfortable and warm. The material is comfortable to wear. Easy to wash at 60 degrees. High zip neck – ideal for the cold. I usually put on a thin base layer, then this shirt, then a gilet, and at -5°C it's warm enough. I haven't tested it at lower temperatures this winter.
