Bushnell Engage DX 12x50 Binoculars

The Bushnell Engage DX series binoculars feature a fixed magnification of 12x and a 50 mm objective lens. Thanks to advanced technologies, they offer high resolution, contrast, and a wide field of view. Adjustable eyecups and dioptre correction provide comfort during prolonged use and the ability to customise according to individual needs. The compact Roof prisms allow for easy transportation in a small bag.

anti-reflective coatings, adjustable eyecups

The lenses are made of special glass with a low light dispersion coefficient ED (Extra-low Dispersion). As a result, the image features exceptional resolution and contrast, and chromatic aberration—noticeable as purple or yellow anomalies in simpler binoculars—is almost completely eliminated.

Anti-reflective FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) coatings are applied to the lenses; all air-glass surfaces are multilayered, reducing reflections and light loss. Roof prisms have advanced DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) coatings, which ensure maximum brightness and image clarity, improving colour rendition, resolution, and contrast.

The EXO Barrier Protection technology is an advanced protective coating that prevents water droplets and dust adhesion and is scratch-resistant, allowing observation even in the rain. This technology also protects against condensation from our breath.

Durable construction, rubberised coating

The prisms are made from BaK-4 glass, which is the highest quality optical material. These prisms provide brightness and clarity levels unattainable with cheaper BK-7 glass binoculars.

Binoculars meet the IPX7 waterproof standard. They are rain-resistant and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for a maximum of 30 minutes. The metal body coated with a rubber layer ensures a firm grip in various conditions.

BaK-4 feature
BaK-4
BaK-4 are high-end prisms made of Barium Crown glass, containing barium oxide. They are used in advanced optics such as binoculars, telescopes and finders, where image quality is crucial. BaK-4 glass is characterized by a high refractive index, resulting in a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. With excellent light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions.
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating feature
DPC - Dielectric Prism Coating
DPC (Dielectric Prism Coating) is an advanced dielectric optical coating applied to roof prisms in Bushnell devices. The use of this multi-layer coating increases the reflectivity inside the prism to more than 99%, resulting in better light transmission, higher image brightness and more faithful color reproduction.
ED Prime feature
ED Prime
ED Prime Glass is a high-performance Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass used in the lenses of Bushnell optical devices. By reducing chromatic aberration, it provides exceptional sharpness, high resolution and accurate color reproduction - even at high magnification and in demanding lighting conditions. Lenses made with ED Prime Glass offer a clearer, more detailed image and are standard in premium products for demanding users such as hunters, wildlife watchers and field professionals.
EXO Barrier feature
EXO Barrier
EXO Barrier is the latest generation of protective coating developed by Bushnell, applied to the outer surfaces of lenses. It forms a microscopic, durable layer that resists water, dust, oil, fingerprints and other contaminants. Water droplets run off immediately and dirt does not adhere to the glass, ensuring maximum image clarity in all conditions. The EXO Barrier coating is permanently bonded to the surface of the optics, resistant to abrasion and effective for the life of the device.
FMC - Fully MultiCoated feature
FMC - Fully MultiCoated
FMC (Fully MultiCoated) is a technology used in optical devices to apply multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to all lens surfaces in contact with air. This solution effectively reduces reflections and light loss, improving brightness, contrast and image clarity. The increased light transmission translates into a sharper and more detailed image, which is crucial when observing in limited light conditions.
Lead-Free Glass feature
Lead-Free Glass
Lead-Free Glass is a technology used in Bushnell's optical devices, using lead-free glass for lenses and prisms. The material is environmentally friendly, as no harmful substances such as lead are used in the manufacturing process. Lead-Free glass maintains high optical quality, providing excellent clarity, sharpness and accurate color reproduction.
