The Sternglas brand was founded in 2016 in Hamburg by Dustin Fontaine, who gained experience as a teenager in a small watchmaking workshop in Münster. The inspiration to create his own company was the desire to offer beautiful, classic watches at an affordable price, accessible to a wider audience. The brand name comes from the German language and means "star" and "glass," referring to the elegant and clean look of the watches.
