The company was founded in 1985 by siblings Don, Ian, and Kathy Scott, originally from British Columbia, Canada. Initially, the business focused on selling a few basic outdoor equipment items - mainly blue enamel tableware and simple campfire accessories. Soon, the company moved its headquarters to Spokane, Washington (USA), where it operates to this day.
