Burris Optics is an American brand founded in 1971 by Don Burris, a design engineer who previously worked for Redfield Scopes. Don Burris believed he could create a better optical sight and in 1975 introduced his first product – the Fullfield riflescope, which became an industry icon and is still produced today. The company quickly gained a reputation for innovations such as the first variable scope with a non-magnifying reticle and high-quality lens coatings.
