Introducing the latest version of the well-loved Sparrow model! This compact military and survival backpack offers a 40-liter capacity, crafted from 500D Cordura featuring MAPA camouflage. Its design derives from the urban Raven model, tailored for rigorous field applications.
The backpack is crafted from durable 500D Cordura, a material renowned for its resistance to abrasions and mechanical wear, guaranteeing long-lasting performance in challenging conditions.
The Sparrow II variant is equipped with two roomy compartments. The main compartment boasts four D-rings on the back panel, ideal for securing accessories. The additional compartment features an extended organizer perfect for managing smaller items. Within the main compartment, there are mesh pockets that come with zippers. The flap contains a flat pocket as large as the main compartment, approximately 5 cm in depth, designed to hold documents, maps, or a small laptop. Additionally, the flap has an easily accessible small external pocket.
Inside the backpack, there is a hydration bladder hook, a tube exit hole, and two loops (one on each shoulder strap) for secure attachment.
Both the main and secondary compartments feature a two-way zipper that extends along three sides of the flap, allowing wide access to the interior. All zippers are durable and abrasion-resistant and come with textile pulls for ease of use, even when wearing gloves. The compartment and front pocket zippers are safeguarded by cover flaps to protect the interior from moisture and dirt.
The AFS - Air Flow System provides optimal structural rigidity, user comfort, and efficient back heat dissipation. Enhanced wearing comfort is provided by quick-release, elongated shoulder straps with adjustable lengths, along with the chest and hip straps. The inner part of the straps is crafted from a tightly woven fabric that doesn't catch on clothing. A tunnel on the back is designed for a fiberglass frame that is compatible with the backpack system (not included).
Both sides have two compression straps with 30 mm fastex buckles, enabling volume reduction and secure gear attachment such as clothing, tarps, sleeping mats, or camouflage nets. A large and wide transport handle is situated on top for easier carrying.
MOLLE/PALS webbing is stitched onto the front, bottom, and sides, allowing for attachment of extra gear or items needed for urgent access.
On the front of the backpack, a velcro panel is provided for attaching patches, unit insignias, national flags, or morale patches.
A practical rain cover is included with the backpack, providing effective protection for both the bag and its contents against moisture. It's valuable in heavy rain and tough outdoor conditions, ensuring your gear stays dry.
The MAPA camouflage pattern was crafted by Maciej Dojlitko, who graduated from and is currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He is also the author of several publications, including "Theory of Deconstruction of Visual Communication. Tools for designing military camouflage" (Gdańsk 2015). This groundbreaking design, backed by compelling theoretical and experimental evidence such as computer analysis of countless terrain photographs, caught the interest of experts and military clothing manufacturers. The MAPA camouflage made its debut in 2017 at the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce as a camouflage pattern for the Dromader system of equipment and uniforms by Maskpol, a part of the Polish Armaments Group. Originally created for the Territorial Defense Army, the MAPA camouflage was also considered as a prospective pattern for the entire Polish Armed Forces to potentially replace the wz.93 camouflage. Unfortunately, the MAPA camouflage has not yet been adopted as the official camouflage pattern of the Polish Army.

In certain aspects, it surpasses these in sophistication and more accurately replicates the colors found in Central European forests from late spring to early autumn.
