The ECWCS second-generation waterproof jacket is crafted from a three-layer laminate that offers excellent protection against wind and water. The fabric is vapor-permeable to minimize overheating during high-exertion activities.
Consisting of an outer layer that is 96% polyester and 3% elastane, a breathable polyurethane membrane is integrated inside. Beneath the jacket is a detachable, cozy fleece lining. This feature allows the jacket to be worn not only in fall and spring but also in winter. Its winter suitability is further confirmed by a snow apron that keeps snow from entering underneath the jacket.
This model features seven pockets:
- two large hip pockets with waterproof zippers,
- two sleeve pockets with Velcro and waterproof zippers,
- a spacious pocket with a Velcro closure in the back lining,
- two side zippered pockets within the lining.
The jacket is secured with a two-way YKK® zipper, which includes additional protection from a double flap. Underarm vents sealed with zippers enhance breathability and air exchange with the environment.
Its high collar and hood effectively shield the head and neck from cold and wind. Adjustable cuffs with Velcro allow for a personalized fit according to wrist size. All seams in the outer jacket are sealed.
