The waterproof second-generation ECWCS jacket in woodland camouflage is made from a three-layer laminate, guaranteeing excellent wind and water protection. The material also allows vapor to pass through, reducing the risk of overheating during intense exertion.

The outer layer of the jacket consists of 96% polyester with a 3% addition of elastane. The interior of the jacket is equipped with a breathable polyurethane membrane. There is a removable, warm fleece lining under the jacket, allowing it to be worn not only in spring and fall but also in winter. The winter character of the Wet Weather Jacket model is confirmed by the skirt, which prevents snow from entering under the jacket.

The model features seven pockets:
- two large hip pockets with waterproof zippers,
- two sleeve pockets with velcro and waterproof zippers,
- a large back lining pocket with velcro closure,
- two side pockets with zippers in the lining.

The jacket closes with a two-way YKK® zipper, additionally secured with a double strip. Ventilation openings under the arms with zippers provide better air circulation.

The high collar and hood effectively protect the head and neck from cold and wind. Cuffs with velcro fasteners allow for adjustment and fit to the wrist. All seams in the outer jacket are taped.

Woodland Camouflage

Woodland, also known as US Woodland or M81, is a classic camouflage pattern introduced to the U.S. military in the early 1980s, based on the earlier ERDL camouflage. It remained the standard pattern used by the U.S. military for over two decades, until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It is characterized by large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, which provide good masking and deforming properties, especially in forested areas. Due to its effectiveness and global recognition, it has given rise to numerous variations that have found their way into over 60 military formations worldwide. This pattern also had an enormous impact on pop culture, transitioning from military applications to everyday fashion.

I have been using this jacket for two years and I have mixed feelings. The camouflage pattern is very effective – virtually invisible even from 10 meters away in the right conditions. The spacious pockets and the ability to detach the fleece lining, which can be worn separately, are big advantages. Another plus is the two-way zipper and the underarm vents. Unfortunately, most of the zippers are hard to operate, which makes them difficult to use with one hand. The jacket works in temperatures from 0 to 20 degrees, so it covers a wide range. However, during intense activity, you sweat a lot, even without the lining. The waterproofness is quite weak, just like the breathability. The attachment for the fleece lining at the end of the sleeves is just a single snap per sleeve, which makes taking it off harder. In practice, in the first few months, the poorly designed snap that connects the fleece to the outer layer at the hanging loop came off, and after two years, the frequently used sleeve zipper is breaking down and doesn't close.

I tried on the jacket after receiving it and sent it back, immediately ordering a smaller size. I have the impression that the sizes are slightly larger than standard. The jacket itself gives a solid impression, and the fleece lining also looks good. The weight is similar to the ECWSC USA gen.I (without the lining), but this jacket is slightly longer. I liked it enough that I immediately ordered a smaller size. I’ll keep trying until I find the right size ;-)

The jacket is well made and does not have any flaws or shortcomings. Even after unfastening the lining, it remains warm. The camouflage works great. The jacket is practical, has many spacious pockets, a high collar, and a hood with a visor. The option to unzip the sides under the armpits for ventilation is a nice feature. I recommend measuring yourself carefully before purchasing and checking the jacket’s sizing.

The jacket is great, very comfortable, and of solid quality. I ordered a set in XL size (jacket and pants). It has a warm lining, a practical hood, and a high stand-up collar that protects the neck well from the wind. My measurements are 6’3” tall, 47” chest, 250 lbs, and 40” waist.

The jacket is very nice, keeps you warm, and has a high collar and hood. You can tell it is well made and doesn’t resemble cheap products from China. I recommend paying attention to the sizing – the size chart is not precise, and the clothes are larger than what the description says. I assumed they would be smaller and ordered a 3XL (I’m 250 lbs, 6’3” tall, 40” waist, 47” chest), but the jacket turned out to be much too loose, like I was wearing a sheet or a bag like the Groke from the Moomins. Now I chose XL. With the pants from this series I had the same problem – for 3XL the waist was really too big, even after tightening the cords there was still a lot of slack, so I also ordered XL. The clothes are well made and will be great for photographing animals.

Good morning, I have this jacket, it looks great and I recommend it. However, I think the sleeves and the zipper closure could be designed differently, because the current version is not very comfortable for me, although maybe some people like it. Personally, I’m not a fan of this solution and I have my own idea for improving the closure. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

The jacket disappointed me a bit—for this price, the quality of workmanship leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, it looks nice and is practical (the detachable fleece as a lining provides different options, so theoretically you can wear it all year round).

It looks good, the cut provides some comfort, works well in the rain and is warm, but it’s more of an imitation than a real jacket—it’s only suitable for careful use around the city. The workmanship is very poor. I wouldn’t take it outdoors. Unfortunately, breathability is just theoretical. I give two stars for quality and durability and one extra star for its versatility during business trips—when you need something to wear with a blazer, as well as after work.

Great jacket, I decided to buy it at full price as a birthday present. The recipient says it's very comfortable, and a big plus is the included fleece, so you don't have to look for an extra liner separately. After an outdoor trip, I also heard a funny comment: "...I didn't feel under the jacket at all that I was sweating...," which proves the material breathes well. In summary, the jacket is still being tested, but everything indicates that it's really worth considering.

It looks very good. Unfortunately, according to the size chart, S should be suitable for a person who is 174 cm tall with a chest circumference of 102 cm, but it is too small. I am currently waiting for size M.
