Mil-Tec ECWCS Wet Weather Gen. II Jacket with liner - Flecktarn

A water-resistant jacket in Flecktarn camouflage, type ECWCS second generation, is made of a three-layer laminate that provides effective water protection at a level of 5000 mm. It protects against wind and has very good insulating properties. The loose fit guarantees freedom of movement.

The outer layer of the jacket consists of 96% polyester with a 4% blend of elastane. Inside, there is a breathable polyurethane membrane. The jacket has a detachable, warm fleece lining underneath. The material provides vapor permeability, which reduces the risk of overheating during intense exertion. Thanks to the lining, it can be worn not only in spring and autumn but also in winter. The model also has a snow belt that limits the penetration of snow under the jacket.

The model is equipped with seven pockets:

• two large hip pockets with water-resistant zippers
• two Velcro pockets on the sleeve with water-resistant zippers
• a large pocket with Velcro fastening in the lining at the back
• two side pockets with zippers in the lining

The jacket closes with a two-way YKK zipper, additionally secured with a double flap. Breathability and air exchange with the environment are supported by underarm ventilation holes, closed with zippers. The high collar and hood protect the head and neck from cold and wind. The cuffs are adjustable with velcro, allowing them to fit the wearer's wrist thickness. All seams in the outer jacket are taped.

Flecktarn is a classic German military camouflage pattern, officially introduced for use by the Bundeswehr in 1990. The pattern is based on small, irregular spots in five colors – typically dark green, olive, brown, black and beige. With the distribution of numerous dots and blurred boundaries between the colors, Flecktarn effectively distracts from the wearer's silhouette in forest terrain, as well as in scrubland or against the background of forest undergrowth. The camouflage was designed for European climatic conditions, especially for the temperate zone. To this day, Flecktarn remains a standard pattern used by the German army, other military and police officers. Its effectiveness has led to numerous variants and adaptations in other countries.
