Excellent radio, very solidly built – it feels indestructible. You get the most when you purchase the software with the PRG-15 cable, which allows you to connect the radio to your computer (unfortunately it's currently not available on militaria.pl). Programming opens up a lot of new possibilities – if you’re looking for something more than classic PMR radios offer, especially compared to the great Motorola T series, this model with the software is an excellent choice. Full customization of channels, codes, button functions, change of various settings, scrambler, squelch. The ability to scan frequencies according to your own preferences – the radio can scan all 16 PMR channels every 3.5 seconds, plus different scan modes. Thanks to the FM radio, you can be on your chosen channel and listen to your favorite stations (like RMF, ZET) at the same time, and when someone speaks, the radio automatically switches to the conversation. The speaker is of great quality, which is especially noticeable when listening to music. Illuminated buttons and screen, completely waterproof. Knobs for channel and volume control. The battery lasts a very long time, unlike some Midland XT models – here it’s really good, it works for many hours. I haven’t checked the exact working time declared by the manufacturer, but subjectively it’s excellent, and if needed, you can buy an extra battery. The battery holder is a bit stiff, but it’s a sturdy device, like a tank. The clip is much stronger than on the XT70 and XT70 PRO models from Midland. In my opinion, this radio is a great choice and worth its price, especially if you use the optional software and cable.

In open terrain, without obstacles between antennas, the achievable range is 12 km. 99 channels, Scrambler function
The radio supports 99 PMR446 channels, 50 CTCSS tones, and 105 DCS codes. The G18 Pro model allows customization according to user needs, including unlocking functions like FM radio and Compander. However, this requires programming the device using optional software and a PRG-G15 cable, which are not included in the set, using a PC. The Scrambler function enables private group communication. The built-in VOX function allows automatic receiving and transmitting sound without pressing the transmit button; just start talking, and the radio will switch to transmit mode automatically.
Durable construction, IP67 waterproof rating
The housing made of durable material is complemented by an internal sealing system, providing waterproof protection compliant with IP67 (complete protection against dust and protection against immersion in water up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter). The device also meets military standards MIL-STD810G.

I recommend it, the device is comfortable, solid, and very easy to use. It worked great both during mountain trips in Bieszczady and by the lake. Another person used the G9 Pro model and at a distance of about 1.5-2.5 km the communication was clear and without any interference.
