Baofeng EU-5R Mini is a portable handheld Duobander (dual-band) radio featuring a maximum power of 5 W. The device is equipped with a keyboard, LCD display, flashlight, and FM radio. It is powered by a 2200 mAh battery with a USB-C port.

The handheld radio includes a Dual Watch function, allowing simultaneous monitoring of two channels. The user can communicate on the main frequency while simultaneously monitoring an additional frequency. Switching between channels is done using the appropriate key.

The device offers a color display, flashlight, and FM radio which enhances its usability in the field. A keypad lock is also provided.

The radio can be programmed using the keypad or a computer, making operation quick and intuitive.

The VOX function enables voice-activated transmission, eliminating the need to press the PTT button and significantly facilitating operation in situations where free hands are required.

CTCSS and DCS tones operate in normal and invert modes. These systems eliminate unwanted signals, ensuring the reception of only transmissions with the appropriate tone or code, allowing for a clear communication channel and reduced interference. Additionally, the model allows changing the power level between Low and High.
