Baofeng A58 5W Two-way Radio
The A58 dual-band two-way radio with 5 W power (also known as duobander). The radio station operates in the VHF and UHF frequency ranges. It is equipped with a large, easy-to-read, dual-line display, DTMF keyboard, and advanced menu. Using the two-way radio requires a license to operate in a radio communication network.
Large screen, IP57 standard
The device comfortably fits in the hand, and the well-positioned keys allow for one-handed operation of all functions. The A58 model has a large and clear dual-line display and, thanks to its solid construction, meets the waterproof and dustproof standards of IP57protection against dust ingress and protection against immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter.
Dual Watch function, LED flashlight, FM radio
One of the key features of the radio is Dual Watch, which means dual listening mode. This equipment monitors two different frequencies, even in different VHF/UHF bands, prioritizing the one with an incoming connection. Additionally, it is equipped with a LED flashlight and FM radio (65 - 108 MHz).
PTT button, VOX function
The device is equipped with a push-to-talk (PTT) button. It is also possible to connect a PTT headset. Baofeng A58 offers many features for easy identification, grouping, and operation, including programming from the keyboard or computer, keyboard lock, and VOX function, which enables voice-activated transmission.

I listened on this radio and heard some guys complaining that with a cheap Chinese Baofeng they get better reception than with this device (even though they live in the same neighborhood), and they were right xD

A good quality radio at this price, and additionally resistant to water.

Great equipment, like most products of this brand. The radio is water and dust resistant, well-made, and quite heavy. The range is impressive. Definitely worth recommending.

In terms of operation, it is similar to other Baofeng models, but it is heavier, more solidly built, and also resistant to water and dust. It has an interesting sound and light alarm option. Unfortunately, standard headsets with a Kenwood plug do not fit. Nevertheless, the device works well and has replaced my UV-82.
